Welcome to TRUMPF**KISTAN
Home to countless weak, mean, posturing little worms including:

Posturing means putting on a show rather than engaging sincerely.

It refers to adopting exaggerated positions, language, or behavior to look tough, righteous, or morally superior, often for an audience, without a genuine intent to solve anything or have an honest exchange.

In practical terms:
• Someone is posturing when they make grand statements but avoid substance.
• It’s about appearance over action.
• Think performative outrage, performative virtue, or performative toughness.

A simple way to remember it:
Posturing is flexing without lifting.

In political and online discourse, it’s often used to describe people who want to win the optics rather than engage the ideas.

We’ve been blocked by Jill, the Executive Director of the Egyptian Theatre.

That’s unfortunate, but also telling.

Community feedback, even when critical, is not an attack. It’s part of leadership. Blocking voices instead of engaging them does not resolve concerns; it simply confirms them. When transparency becomes inconvenient, avoidance is easier than accountability.

We remain supporters of the Egyptian Theatre as a historic and cultural institution. That hasn’t changed. What has changed is our confidence in the current leadership’s willingness to listen, communicate, and steward that trust in good faith.

Strong institutions deserve leaders who can face hard conversations without retreating behind the block button. At this point, a change in leadership deserves serious consideration.

Jill can block us, but she can’t block community feedback. Please call the Egyptian Theatre and make your voices heard: 541-808-8295.

An Open Letter to the Egyptian Theatre Coos Bay Board of Directors

To the Board and Leadership of the Egyptian Theatre,

As the administrators of this page, we want to begin by stating clearly and sincerely that we are wholehearted supporters of the Egyptian Theatre and its nonprofit mission. Your theater is not just a venue; it is a cultural landmark and a shared memory bank for this community.

Some of our fondest moments include sitting beneath the stunning artwork on your walls, watching films like The Mummy Returns on the big screen, and feeling that rare kind of magic that only a historic theater can provide. Those experiences matter. They helped shape our love for this place and our belief in its role as a unifying force in Coos Bay.

With that said, we want to be equally clear about our intentions. This is not a vendetta against you, your staff, or your organization. We respect the work you do, and we recognize the challenges that come with operating a nonprofit cultural institution. Our concern is about values, impact, and responsibility to the broader community you serve.

We believe the Egyptian Theatre is at its best when it elevates voices and events that bring people together, not those that risk tearing the community apart. Organizations like Turning Point USA are widely known for promoting division rather than unity, and hosting events connected to them sends a message that conflicts with the inclusive spirit many of us associate with your stage.

We respectfully urge you to reconsider and immediately cancel any events related to Turning Point USA. Doing so would be a powerful statement that the Egyptian Theatre stands for a strong, inclusive, and united community, not one shaped by hostility, division, or exclusion.

We hope you will take these concerns to heart and understand that they come from a place of deep care, respect, and a desire to see the Egyptian Theatre continue to thrive as a space that reflects the best of who we are as a community.

Thank you for your time, your consideration, and for all you do.

With respect,
Admin Coos Bay Area, OR

These are the kinds of people this Turning Point nonsense is drawing out of the woodwork in our community. Someone actually joked that a demonstration in front of the Egyptian Theatre would be the perfect place to teach a kid how to drive a semi.

That isn’t dark humor. It’s vile, dangerous, and dehumanizing. And if history is any guide, this kind of rhetoric doesn’t decrease after events like this. It escalates.

This is exactly why people are concerned. You can’t dismiss this as imaginary or overblown. When language like this becomes casual, harm is never far behind.

You truly can’t make this up.

Apparently, this post has been shared to a “turning point lovers” page/group and we are now getting bombarded by their disgusting, sicophantic, hateful comments… In order to protect LOCAL public discourse, I’ve limited commenting to established followers only for the time being! Apologies for any inconvenience !

Why are people coming from Eugene, Portland, and beyond?

Many folks have asked why residents from across Oregon are planning to participate in the counter-demonstrations connected to the Turning Point USA events scheduled for Coos Bay and North Bend at the end of January. The answer is straightforward.

This will be the first Turning Point USA event in Oregon since October 2024. Given the recent national media attention surrounding Turning Point USA and its activities, this appearance is drawing interest well beyond the South Coast.

As a result, what might otherwise be a small, local gathering is shaping up to be a statewide moment. People are showing up not because of where it’s happening, but because of what it represents. Oregon tends to pay attention when long absences end and controversial movements re-enter the picture.

Stay informed. Stay peaceful. And remember: civic engagement doesn’t stop at county lines.

Hey Janice Parker,
Thanks for your message. Just to clarify, the phrase “separation of church and state” in the U.S. context comes from the First Amendment, which is intended to protect the government from establishing or favoring any religion, while also protecting individuals’ free exercise of religion. It’s not about “protecting the church from the state” exclusively—it’s about ensuring the government stays neutral on religious matters.

As for TPUSA, we can disagree on politics without resorting to personal attacks. Critiquing policies or ideological patterns isn’t “hate,” it’s part of healthy civic discussion.

Peace be with you 🕊️✌️

THIS JUST IN
Regarding Turning Point USA–Related Events in Coos Bay:

Here’s what we’ve confirmed regarding the upcoming Turning Point–related activities in the area.

One venue, The Egyptian Theatre, has stated that it received threats connected to the planned appearance of Turning Point USA. Due to these circumstances, the venue is requiring additional insurance coverage and a security deposit, which is why admission is being charged for that event.

A separate event at the North Bend Community Center is a privately organized dance hosted by Diane Rich. While it is open to the public, it is not a city-sponsored event and is Turning Point–based. Initial information provided to North Bend City Hall appears to have been incomplete, which contributed to some of the early confusion surrounding the event.

For additional clarity, ticket sales for the Turning Point event are being handled through an Eventbrite account overseen by Rob Taylor.

Regardless of political affiliation or ideology, threats of violence or property damage are unacceptable and are not condoned. Civil discourse, transparency, and lawful civic engagement are essential to a healthy community.

That said, it’s frustrating that the same small group continues to invite highly divisive organizations into our community, predictably creating turmoil and confusion. Maybe one day they’ll learn — but I’m not holding my breath.

We’ll continue to share verified updates as they become available.

Coos County’s so-called “Conservative Muscle” consists of a couple hundred geriatrics who have broken into two units based on “talent.” Either they join the Laugh Brigade or the infamous Tattle Squad.

Neither has any real teeth, figuratively or literally.
