Kris got me out in the water today we were hoping for a late chinook, California halibut, or clipped coho. We hooked 4 fish. 2 each and had several take downs, landed 3 and safely released 3 wild coho, the other one turned, tail wrapped, and snapped my leader and lost it. It didn’t fight like coho so it was either nice chinook or a really big coho. All in all we saw over 1,000 fish come out of the water today. It was a beautiful day, and time well spent with my best friend with the few hours I had to spare.
First lingcod this year, too bad it wasn’t big enough to keep.
How I rig up for bait fishing off the jetty, beach, and cliffs.

I appreciate any support I get even if it’s just likes and comments but now you can do more if you choose. Thank you all you’re all the best!!!
Salmon fishing sucked, weather sucked, but I wouldn’t have caught anything from my couch either. Did get to see this jellyfish though and 5 others like it, that was cool!!!

First lingcod I’ve ever caught from the north side of the jetty, haven’t fished it years because it’s such a hike, wasn’t a keeper but didn’t get skunked. #fishing #oregoncoast #lingcod
