Hey everyone I am a studio owner , so the other day I get a text from some dude claiming to be a manager / agent of three country artists who required studio time . He wanted to know my rates so I told his $75 an hour .
He then responded and told me the dates which were in April 4 dates to be exact. He then went on to ask for the full amount plus engineer. Plus my gear and equipment etc . The artists would be doing approx 6 hrs each .
At first I thought OK this could be legit , then he told me they would be delivered by a driver to my studio . Which I thought was very odd .
So I researched his number and it came up as a bloke in New Jersey ,which once gain I thought was odd seeing as I live and work in Nor Cal.
So I called the number from the text number he used from him and got this very weird dude on the other end, kind of scary really .
So I told him to go pound sand . Just a friendly warning beware of scammers They are in all shapes and sizes .
This is not the first time this has happened to me . Take care and be safe .
