If you are wondering why dancers and families choose for their ballet instruction - this is a big part of it. The genius of choreographer (and co-founder) with their highest level programs would have you believe they are a professional company. Jennifer has shared with me that their syllabus for focus is very challenging and it isn’t for the faint of heart - but these dancers can leave their program and go on to compete for spots in a professional company or in a collegiate environment and know that they have the tools to perform.

Beautiful, creative, talented, disciplined… I only wish there was another opportunity to see them perform this piece again.

My girl is 11. She has historically had giant birthday parties (what we call Bristol-palooza). This year the challenge was something smaller and I think she nailed it. A smaller group of good friends and a backyard hang at home. It was perfect.

I’d say one thing I love about Bristol is her appreciation for the small things. I love that she reads every word of every card. I spoil her to death, but a well intentioned card can mean the world to her.

We vacationed over fall break. We’ve been hitting the same park in Northfield MN for the past 4 years. It’s crazy to think about playgrounds being something we are almost done with. They were just such a huge part of our lives for so long.

The took the field at the home football game on October 18th. Their show was excellent, as it always is this late in the season. It is always so fun to watch the progression and see the work these students put into it pay off. I didn’t make it to their final competition of the year - but here are some photos from the last performance I got to capture.

It was so great to work with @jenniferdcreter and the team at @lovestageonedance to make a video that talks about their Spring Ballet. Buy the tickets, it’s going to be great! We did a simple two camera shoot using a prepared script and mixed in some B roll of instruction. Shot it all in about an hour and a half and kept cost low. A few things we do to keep costs low: 🎯 prepared script. Whether you use a teleprompter or not, write the script and practice the script. We are happy to help with this. 🎯 multi camera. This means less shots, less time on site. Not only does it help save in the budget, you get a better product in the end. 🎯 Capture Natural B Roll. Staged b roll is fine, but you can save time “cleaning” a b roll shot instead of staging it 100%.

The only @royalacademyofdance certified school in TN!! I love it when I get to work with clients who are at the top of their field - and the fact that they are right here in our own backyard offering this level of instruction - incredible. @thecentredance tells me that they are prepping students for their exams now - and for those interested, you can register for their 4 week session in May that will get you placed for next year’s program. @lemondropproductions and I had the opportunity to work with @missandrea_thecentre and @mrslaurendelo on a series of promotional videos for their programs that were scripted to inform the community about their incredible programs. We think they came out great!

After spending a few hours with @madistonpowertel I wanted to be a lineman and work for them. 4 day work weeks and an incredible team culture. If you are looking for a nice promotional video to highlight job opportunities or a new product/service you have, let us know!

@uchrapublictransportation provides such a valuable resource to our community. It was great to help them develop scripts and produce this video to help them communicate it. Total shoot time was about 3 hours - we prepped through email perfecting scripts prior, and then using a teleprompter made the whole thing painless! Let us know if you want to chat about budget/schedule for something like this for you or your organization.

Loved working with @zwbuckner and his team at Hörmann making this promotional hiring video with them. If you are looking for a promotional video - hit me up. This one was filmed in under 3 hours onsite and I worked with their team in advance to make sure they were ready with scripts. Typical delivery of a video like this is 7-10 days.

So, I’ve put it off long enough. Throwing my hat in the ring for wedding films. Let me know if you have a need. Definitely not a traditional wedding videographer - I just shoot what I want and then deliver you a video. Clips from my first one - The Garrett Wedding.
