I realized today that I haven’t posted a photo in almost a month. Honestly - I’ve just been busy. I’ve been lucky to get to do some commercial photography work and I’ve been pumping out a bunch of videos for clients. I’ll plan to share some of the videos next week.

Marching band season is upon us - so prepare yourself for weekly and photos soon.

I took very little photos from Bristol’s dance week in NYC. I was dance dad all week shuffling Bristol around to 8 classes across two schools in NYC. It was so much fun, but so busy!! I did talk her into a photoshoot the hours before we boarded our plane home.

Sarah is a powerhouse of a dancer, but when an injury kept her from performing a solo for 2023 nutcracker, the team at asked her to perform it as a solo for spring recital 2024. Only in Cast D, it was a hidden gem that I hope you were able to catch.

This is the piece that opened all 8 of recitals this spring. It’s a significant piece. I’ve been told that except for some minor modifications for numbers/ensemble, they did “Dance of the Willis” with its original choreography from the Ballet “Giselle”. It was, for sure, beautiful. Such amazing talent with these dancers. Since I was able to photograph it multiple times - I used one of those opportunities to snap some black and white photos of specific spots in the piece that I thought were beautiful. This first photo has a chance to contend for my favorite snap of this whole project. Let’s be honest - it’s hard to take a bad photo of Sam and Chloe - but catching this one at the right time, from the right angle, was a happy moment.

This girl. A great big personality and a great big heart! I was able to watch 7 of her 8 performances PLUS 4 dress rehearsals the last couple weeks. I love watching her on stage and I hope there are many more experiences like these!
