Happy Halloween! Here’s dozens of lost followers and IG is also going to suspend your account on accident… Spooky, right?👻

Instagram has been eliminating bots and suspending fake/spam accounts, something they do often. Which is great except… They have suspended tons of accounts that have no reason to be suspended 😭

Instagram has reported they’re aware of these issues and working to fix it.

This is a great reminder to check up on your account security to be sure you never get locked out of your account for good.

Head to your account security (check my stories for how to do so) turn on your two-factor authentication, update + verify your email address and phone number!

This is also a reminder of why it’s okay to lose followers! You don’t want inactive or bot accounts on your following list anyways! 👋

Followers do not equal sales.

I have seen businesses with less than 1,000 followers make more sales than businesses with 10k+.

How? Followers mean nothing if they’re never going to buy from you.

As a social media manager, it might shock you that I kindaaaa don't care about followers... Like at all. 🙈

Followers mean nothing if they never visit your website or tap your biz address. These are the insights that show you if your social media strategy is working or not - not the number of followers you have.

Okay, so.. How do you drive followers to your website?

Well, a good strategy is the 🔑. But here are a few tips to drive your followers to your website 👇

〰️ Tell them what you want them to do! Don't forget to provide a call to action with your posts, (ex. Visit my website to learn more!)

〰️ Give them a reason to visit your website. Having a blog full of resources is a great way to drive people to your site!

〰️ Use the link sticker in stories! One of the best ways to get people to your website is by using the link sticker in stories. All of us under 10k followers wanted the "swipe up" feature for so long. Now that we have it, USE IT!

Each month, my clients receive an analytics report outlining all of the important insights, what they mean, and how we can use what we've learned to improve the strategy.

Don't get me wrong, Taylor Swift is a lyrical and musical GENIUS. And I am absolutely a . But her Midnights album launch would not be what it is without her completely GENIUS marketing team.

Taylor Swift encouraged millions of women to watch football on a Thursday night just to get a sneak peek at what she's been up to.

Over the past month, she kept millions of people up until midnight for countless nights just to hear her album's song track titles.

Taylor is the perfect example of what you can build with good, strategic marketing.

She has built a ridiculously engaged and loyal audience on social media. This is definitely a result of her talent, but it would not be as wildly successful and groundbreaking without her marketing campaigns.

I say all of this to say: If you offer an awesome product or service - YOU CAN AND WILL BE SUCCESSFUL. You just have to let people know you exist.

Regardless if you're a swiftie or not, you knew this album was coming.

That's what good marketing can do.

InShot: .app is one of the simplest reel editing apps I've used! If you're creating a reel with multiple cuts and video durations, InShot makes setting your clip lengths easy!

Temply: has been my go-to lately for creating stories and reels that stand out. Temply has an awesome collection of templates and fonts that make your text overlay not so boring.

SCRL: is the best app for creating scroll-worthy carousels, especially if you're a creative *ahem* photographers, this app is for YOU!

Strategy is key 🔑

Putting all of your effort into posting on social media can feel exhausting *especially* when you’re STILL not seeing results.

You’re posting reels like every social media “guru” tells you to.

To be honest, you're probably *not* thinking about social media. After all, you have a business to run.

One of the most asked questions I typically receive is some form of "What do I post about on my business’s social media accounts?"

Developing content ideas can be easier than you think if you're mindful of it.

The best advice I can give you is to keep track of the questions potential customers are asking you. Literally... Write them down!

If one customer has a specific question about your business, chances are others have the same question.

Use your list of customer questions, answer them on your social media posts, and boom - endless content ideas. 💥

A little extra plus for using customers' frequently asked questions for content ideas is this will allow you to spend less time answering DMs and more time doing what you do best in biz. 💫

“I had someone quote me $500 for social media management” 🚩

I’ve heard this from people inquiring about my services.

Every single time the person quoting them $500/month is a friend of a friend (or a friends daughter) who has no experience running brand accounts and creating social media strategies that convert.
