About Xtreme Weather LLC.
For the love of weather
I guess it all started at a young age growing up in a small Texas town. My brother and I spent a lot of time outside, with friends, sports, yard work, getting into trouble mostly. In those days, kids spent time outside, not inside playing X-Box all day. Living on the Gulf Coast also brought Hurricanes and a multitude of severe weather, and to be honest, I loved it from the first lightning strike, and boy was I hooked.
My love of storms and my late teens took me right into storm chasing, it was like a drug and I was an addict! I Still chase to this day, not as much when I was in my teens but I still get out about four or five trips a year and I love every minute of it! Still living the dream.
To speed ahead so that this doesn’t turn into an autobiography, later in life I found myself wanting to become more involved with the “Weather Community” so a friend of mine and I started My GPS Tracker – Basically, a way to track multiple storm chasers in real-time while displaying their locations graphically in google maps.
My GPS Tracker turned out to be the first project of many but like most things time moves on and with it so did GPS technology. In working with mapping technology we soon moved into weather mapping and Xtreme Weather was born, with weather mapping, advancements in technology and time you start to rethink the system. At some point, you have to ask yourself the all-important question; “How do we stop all the needless tragedy and loss caused by these horrific natural disasters?”
Through Awareness, Preparedness And Education We All Advance
Today our world revolves around severe weather and natural disaster communication. How to efficiently and more expeditiously disseminate, translate and communicate severe weather information to the masses in this online, social networked world. Be sure to read on to get a feel for our direction now and in the future.
The story is not over yet, truly it’s just beginning. I think I will leave this section as “A work in progress” and let you read on…. but check back for updates.
Our preparedness and education programs - Stay aware, Be informed, Plan Ahead, Take action.
Launched in February 2017, Aware is a National public service campaign designed by XWDR to educate and empower the American people to prepare for, respond to and mitigate emergencies, including natural and man-made disasters. The goal of the campaign is to promote preparedness through public involvement. All current articles
Aware and its Spanish language version Consciente ask individuals to do four key things: (1) stay informed about the different types of emergencies that could occur and their appropriate responses (2) make a family emergency plan and (3) build an emergency supply kit, and (4) get involved in your community by taking action to prepare for emergencies. Make a plan | Build a preparedness kit
We all can agree that today we live in a social networked world. With our primary social partner Xtreme Weather, Llc., and in conjunction with their numerous affiliated social networking sites, vendors, user group, blogs, websites and podcasts we have launched our 2019 “Stay Weather Aware” campaign. We have concentrated on delivering detailed, extensive and highly informative media to educate the public on how to prepare as well as what to during and after a number of specific natural disaster situations. Get involved
In 2019, XWDR in partnership with some of its affiliated national grocery, hard-goods and hardware chains have started distributing targeted natural disaster preparedness and educational print materials as well (I.E.) pamphlets, leaflets and brochures to better inform the communities where they are located.

Our awareness program
In 2019 through Xtreme Weather’s podcast vehicle we are decimating current weather and potentially life saving information daily.
Our daily audio severe weather advisories / alerts are provided directly from the National Weather Service and we believe by our listeners staying “Weather Aware” with our alerts could even possibly save their life!
Every citizen should own, or be near an active, alarm-ready Weather Radio. We know that’s not always possible, and this one example is sufficient: Millions of folks work in situations where Weather Radios aren’t available, but computers and mobile devices are handy.
Our audio cast can be heard in English and in Spanish. We also provide closed captioning for the hearing impaired.
Weather in under a minute
A daily U.S. Weather briefing on the days potential weather threats.
Daily Weather Advisories
Severe U.S. weather advisories or critical weather events as they develop.
Tropical weather advisories
A daily tropical advisory throughout the U.S. Tropical storm season.
Special weather advisories, synopsis or alerts
Severe weather is unpredictable and can strike at any moment. These alerts are deployed on our podcast network at a moments notice.
How our technology works
Our weather information is initially derived from: USGS, NOAA, National Weather Service, The National Weather Service; Weather Prediction Center and The National Hurricane Center.
After our redundant severs receive the critical weather or natural disaster information, our proprietary A.I. Engine automatically decimates the information by type, then translates the text information *(Via our TTS engine) into a verbal / voice .mp3 file *(In English and Spanish at this time) and then automatically distributes said information via several podcast, social and media platforms.
When available, (I.E. – Facebook and Youtube) our system provides “Close Captions” support for the hearing impaired. *(please use our social network list) or check podcast CC availability.

Whats Next, Where will technology take us now?
Today we are working on a 100% A.I. driven weather alert system that will not only derive its information from the NWS, NOAA and others but will be able to interact as well as answer all of your daily weather related questions and concerns. Today this system only delivers one way information but the current delivery chain as well as the (Closed Caption) and Subtitles are all 100% A.I. driven.

What is fair use?
The fair use doctrine recognizes that rigid application of copyright laws in certain cases would be unfair or may inappropriately stifle creativity or stop people from creating original works, which would harm the public. So, the doctrine allows people to use someone else’s copyrighted work without permission in certain circumstances. Common examples include: criticism, commentary, news reporting, teaching, scholarship and research.
Fair use exists in certain countries, including the U.S. Other countries around the world use related laws, such as fair dealing, that allow the use of copyrighted works in certain instances.
Since there are no clear rules that tell you what falls within the fair use doctrine, you may want to consult an attorney if you have questions about whether you are within the boundaries of fair use.
Factors that help determine fair use
Though it's often difficult to know if a particular use of copyrighted work is a fair use, the law offers some factors you can consider:
The purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes:
Does the use transform or change the original work by adding new meaning, context or expression? Using a fashion photograph to discuss the amount of photo editing used in the photograph is more likely to be fair use than if the photograph were used without comment. Parodies may be fair use if they imitate a work in a way that criticizes or comments on the original work.
Is the use commercial or purely personal? Commercial, or for-profit, uses are less likely to be considered fair use.
The nature of the copyrighted work:
The use of factual works like maps or databases is more likely to be fair use than the use of highly creative works like poems or science-fiction movies.
The amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole:
The use of small portions of a copyrighted work is more likely to be fair use than copying an entire work. But even if a small portion is taken, the use is less likely to be fair if the portion used is the most important piece — the “heart” of the work.
The effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work:
Will the use replace the original work such that people stop buying or viewing the copyrighted work? If so, this is less likely to be fair use.
To learn more about fair use in the U.S., you can visit the U.S. Copyright Office Fair Use Index.
