This is the single most important video I have seen all year and no one is talking about it!

To all my Hmong brothers and sisters, please do yourself a favor and watch this very informative video about folk sing aka "Kwv txhiaj". It also dives into how it ties to the HISTORY OF THE HMONG.

The host did a tremendous job and he seemed very genuine in caring and learning about the Hmong. The Hmong women interviewed in this video were also very intelligent and well-versed in the skill! Overall a 10/10 video and super informative! Learned something I never even knew about the Hmong.

Currently my fitness goal: be able to tie my shoes without losing circulation to my brain. Lol

Let me tell you a story about challenging yourself. So I've been training and running for about a month now. Most of it being on a treadmill. About 2 weeks ago, I ran 3.1 miles (a 5k race for reference) with a time of 25:51. Not bad at all! Right around a 8min/mil pace! Confidence is boosted. Feeling good about myself. Decided to run that same distance today but outside. It was a nice cool breezy morning so why not.

Boyyyy.. was I humbled. I finished 3.1 miles in 32:53. With a pace of 10:36min/mile!! Horrible in my standards!

Here's the reality of what happened. Training on the treadmill is nice but I've been running on one without any incline. So when I was running outside and the hills came, I was not prepared for it AT ALL!

Just a gentle reminder to really make sure you continue to challenge yourself and continue to grow for when life throws the unexpected your way! Learn to be tough and fearless but compassionate and nurturing when needed.

Duck N Family, have some big news to share with you, it is with a heavy heart that we have decided to retire from the restaurant business this year. We wanted to thank each and everyone who has supported us during our 10+ years of operation and allowing us to feed youguys some of our favorites dishes. I know that some of you may be wondering if the business will remain operating and the good news is YES! The transfer of new ownership and management will take place Tuesday 4/16. We fully believe in the capabilities of the new owners who are also dear friends of ours. We hope that you will continue to support them and continue to dine with Duck N Good as we all navigate this change. We will continue to be here throughout the next month to ensure this smooth transition for both our customers and new owners.

A huge Thank You for all the wonderful memories and relationships you have built with us. I know many of you have met our wonderful kids and grandkids who frequented the restaurant as you’ve dined with us and we will all miss you greatly. We have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know our regular customers and have enjoyed introducing our food to all the newcomers. Thank you for not being afraid to try new things so that our paths have crossed in such a wonderful way. Who would have thought that a small mom/pop diner in the small town of long view would have continued to flourish for this past decade, but it was made all possible to our community and the love we all share for some Duck N Good food.

I went around the show and asked spectators, participants and sponsors some questions about the show, car culture and general knowledge questions! This was way more tiring than I thought... lol practically lost my voice by the end of it and probably walked over 3 miles that day. I'm sorry I couldn't get to all sponsors and all people that wanted to be in the video... Thanks to all the volunteers for being a part of the vid. This episode is gonna be a good one! Coming out later this week! Hmong Flag Football Teammates - TEAM NC! All-star QB: Rocky Xiong and All-star Guard: Eric Lo!

We've known each other for over 12 years. All three of us played high school football, went to the same university together and have pretty much been there since the beginning of Hmong Flag football in NC!

November 2023, TEAM NC took home the Championship during th Hmong new years. A local NC team had not taken home the championship in the last 9-10 years! We talk about the journey, the struggles and what it took to bring it back home to NC!

Phong Yang was appointed associate vice president for strategic enrollment management at Fresno State by Dr. Kent Willis, vice president of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, effective January 10.

In this position, Yang will oversee admissions and recruitment, outreach and special programs and the office of the registrar.
