As a natural extension of our core mission, we also develop tabletop games based on our properties. We're located in the heart of the Upper Valley of the state of New Hampshire, a wonderfully unique region where New Hampshire and Vermont are united by the Connecticut River. We're less than an hour from the serenity of the Lakes Region and the wilderness of the White Mountains. Life here is a fascinating brew of country living in historic New England, spiced up with a progressive arts community and the youthful influence of Dartmouth College. We work with award-winning creators as well as undiscovered talent from around the globe. What's with the Key? Although the "Standing O" is our unmistakeable primary logo, The Freedom Key is our secondary logo. You'll find it somewhere on all of our comic books. It is symbolic of a primary tenet here: creative freedom. We don't shackle writers and artists with corporate control over their creations. We don't lock down ownership of their properties. So they are free to do what they do best...create. Freedom is awesome. Freedom is the key.

BREAKING NEWS: Ovation Comics, a publisher of comic books and graphic novels based in Concord, NH, is pleased to announce the formation of HEXCAT. This new imprint will focus on the company's expanded offerings in the fiction genres of supernatural, horror, and dark fantasy.

"Our best-selling title to date was our most recently published, a dark fantasy titled Thistleheart," says John Schlim Jr, Publisher & Chief Geek at Ovation. "Our most popular IP has always been the supernatural heroine, Goth Ghost Girl. And much of our fan growth has been a result of titles with darker themes written for mature readers. So it makes sense to give the people what they want! Our goal with Hexcat is to continue growing these darker categories without diluting the multi-genre identity of Ovation Comics that serves a wide age range. We also want to produce art books that celebrate traditional artists in the contentious age of AI."

Hexcat will publish mature reader comic books, graphic novels, art books, and related board games beginning in 2024. They are actively seeking to build beta reader and prototype game player communities.
