Jason Isbell’s “Cover me up”. I plan on recording and releasing things on a more regular basis. I have all the equipment to do better recordings, but is gonna take time to figure them out a little bit. I played last Friday opening for my buddy Mark Ware. It went pretty good but I was a bit rusty on the mic technique for sure. Will playing out more in 2023 as I make a run at this. Love y’all.

Impromptu Clapton for Aunt Judy Hall Do I know Wonderful Tonight? Does a bear 💩 in the woods? I’ve been in this game for 30+ years so I’m pretty sure I can say I’ve played it a few times.

Fooling around with a Yamaha Clavinova found a pretty cool organ sound, figured out how to program a simple percussion part, and it begat this Ed Sheeran tune. Room kinda dead, so could have used a bit of compression and reverb but anyways.

Maybe I’m different from most people, but sometimes I listen to a tune for years, then something happens, and I interpret it in a totally different way. This is what happened here, as I’d heard this Cheap Trick song for years, played it the original way for years, and then one day I really listened to the lyrics, and to me it sounded like more of a heartfelt pleading than a pop tune throwaway. So this is what I did with Cheap Tricks- I want you to want me. I love this so much, that once I figure out the recording thing better I’ll probably redo it. Please comment, share, and like. -BT
