I've read about people that are considering getting a Cavalier! They are always concerned about the health issues they have heard about. I have only one thing to say about the subject!
No matter how long you own a Cavalier whether it be your first or fifth there is nothing that can compare to the love and companionship they offer.
There is nothing that will add more value to your life than a Cavalier again whether they live five years or fifteen years. I have never met a single person who lost their Cavalier that didn't want another one! Even knowing the health issues that can arise even in a well bred tested background.
I personally think after breeding Cavaliers for nine years now almost ten that they are God's Angels and a very special breed!
The memories they leave us with are so special and worth anything we go through!
Most of the people who own Cavaliers are very special people I know I have met so many and they are the finest people on the planet!
We only had Lily for six years and she left us with so many wonderful memories! I wouldn't trade them for the world!
So if anyone asks you why you got a Cavalier tell them you wanted to have your heart touched by a four legged Angel!

I totally agree with this, you need to be educated you need to ask questions to your veterinarian which is why I have been through three different veterinarians. I asked them about side effects I asked them about issues that I'm having for ways that I can prevent them without taking medicine or shots these are all things that we need to know or do research.

Oliver just came over and laid his head on the baby boy! Gave him a good smell as if to say " you're a male but a baby and you can stay until it's time to go! But you're going!"

This darling boy is sleeping so sound right now but has kept me on my toes for the last two nights! He nurses so intensely that he has inhaled the milk in his lungs and then has trouble breathing. I have to suction his nose several times and keep him upright patting his back to help him get rid of the bubbles in his lungs. These are things no one ever sees or realizes being a part of breeding. I'm exhausted and like having a newborn I sleep on and off all day.
These puppies are beautiful and I can't imagine not doing everything possible to help him breathe better.
He's has a short nose so as a baby makes it a little more difficult.
Well that's just a small thing I wanted to share with you.
Tonight I will hold mama and feed him making sure he is not getting any in his nose.
I will put him on a small pet bed between us so I can hear him breathe all night!

Layla after eating and we just trimmed a few knots from baby birthing! She is back to her old sweet self! Puppies are getting so fat they all weigh over a pound and they are only a week old! We're going to have some real Rolly Polly puppies! But they are beautiful!
