Final College Football Playoff Rankings Predictions Released

The College Football Playoff committee will announce the final rankings of the 2024 season on Sunday, December 8. With conference championship weekend concluded, predictions are emerging on how the top 25 teams will be ranked.

Oregon, with a perfect 13-0 record, is expected to retain its number one ranking. Following closely behind will be Notre Dame at number two, Georgia at number three, Texas at number four, and Ohio State at number five.

Notre Dame's ranking may come as a surprise, given its loss to Northern Illinois earlier in the season. However, the committee seems to have overlooked this loss, focusing instead on the team's overall performance. Georgia's SEC championship win will likely secure its third-place ranking, while Texas and Ohio State will round out the top five.

The rest of the top 25 rankings are also starting to take shape. Tennessee is predicted to move up one spot to number six, while Penn State will likely drop to number seven after its loss to Oregon. Boise State, Indiana, and SMU will also be featured in the top 10, with SMU securing the final at-large playoff spot.

Alabama, with three losses, will likely miss the playoff, while Miami (FL), Ole Miss, and Arizona State will also be ranked but fall short of playoff contention. The remainder of the rankings will include teams such as South Carolina, Clemson, Iowa State, BYU, and Missouri.

Army's conference championship win will propel it into the top 20, while Illinois, Syracuse, and Colorado will maintain their current rankings. Memphis will remain ranked at number 25, and Duke will enter the rankings, replacing UNLV.

The final rankings will be unveiled on Sunday, December 8, and will determine the teams participating in the College Football Playoff.

In an electrifying showdown, the UCLA Women's Basketball team delivered a stunning upset, defeating the top-ranked and defending National Champion South Carolina Women's Basketball squad with a score of 77-62. Both teams entered the game undefeated, setting the stage for an intense battle.

The Bruins burst out of the gate, dominating the first quarter with a remarkable 20 points, followed by 23 in the second. Even as the South Carolina Women's Basketball Gamecock began to rally in the third and fourth quarters, UCLA held strong, refusing to buckle under the pressure. This monumental victory not only snapped South Carolina's impressive 43-game winning streak but also marked the first time in program history that the Bruins triumphed over the number one in the nation. What a night for UCLA Women's Basketball!
