I've always looked up to Dr. Mandy Wyant as a person and as a business owner of Family Chiropractic and Wellness. On this episode, we talk about how her office has a philanthropy each year that they support, why it's important to give back to the community we live in, and how we can all do something like it ourselves.

This episode is one of the reasons we're calling it Celebrate Columbus 2.0. It's about learning from someone who is making Columbus a better place in some way and then applying it in our lives.

Thank you Chad for hosting the first show back.

I (Josh Burnett) will be hosting “shows” at times but as mentioned in this video, https://youtu.be/htkcYWOEU3U, the point of this channel is to get more people involved (not only on this page but everywhere on social media).

Chad is celebrating Kyle Killinger, a Columbus Marine, that is currently running across the country to raise awareness for veteran su***de prevention. You can find out more about Kyle’s mission at Because He's My Brother.

Next time you see Chad running around town with his backpack and American flag, I hope you think about his grandfather, Kyle, and all of our veterans that need our support when they get back from serving our country.

If you would like to celebrate a person, a business, or a cause in/from Columbus, you can do like Chad and send us a 1 minute or less video at [email protected].

Hey, my name is Josh Burnett. If we haven’t met before, here’s a little intro to this page. It will also serve as a reminder to me.

In 2016, I started a blog that became a Facebook video show called Celebrate Columbus. My family had just moved back to our hometown after a year working in Illinois. During that time, my wife was in a hospital for 3 months due to health issues and I mentally did not handle it well. I couldn’t fix the person I loved the most and it messed me up.

During that year, I discovered Gary Vaynerchuk. He taught me everything I know about social media today. I watched his videos every day and he become my digital mentor.

Inspired by him, I took his advice from the videos when we moved back by starting a show interviewing people, businesses, and non-profits in Columbus, Indiana. It was therapeutic and I enjoyed spreading positivity.

Throughout the 3 1/2 year run, there were highs and lows. I met some great people, made several mistakes and learned a lot.

The real reason I stopped doing a show in mid-2019 is because I lost what my friend Roger Lee recently helped me articulate. He called it The Miller Mindset, named after one of my heroes J. Irwin Miller. I let it become something it shouldn’t have. For those of you who remember the show, I’m sorry.

J. Irwin Miller did an amazing job of using his time, talent, and treasure to help make Columbus the best place to live, work, and raise a family in Indiana. He used his intelligence, a business, and his family’s wealth to invest in something bigger than himself- to leave Columbus better than he found it.

I want to use my time, talent, and very little treasure to help Columbus be the best it can be for people, couples, and families that call Columbus home. To celebrate what makes our city special, to help connect people, and to contribute to our community. This time, I’m going to try do it a little differently though.

I’m going to try to take the advice Gary Vee gave me when this picture was taken.

Stay tuned to how I’d like to get you involved in Celebrating Columbus. We > me. Columbus is better because of you!
