In honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month here are 5 facts about breast cancer and the research being done to combat it. 🩷

1. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lives.
2. 66% of breast cancer is diagnosed at a localized stage before it has spread.
3. 1 in 726 men will develop breast cancer
4. 60-70% of patients had no known risk factors.
5. Women who undergo mammogram screening have a 25% reduction in cases of advanced stage breast cancers compared to those without screening.
