* Until 430 PM EDT.

* At 341 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 11 miles southeast of Newcomerstown, or 11 miles west of Freeport, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and small hail.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Scattered Strong Thunderstorms will be possible for much of South-Central Ohio today. Damaging wind gusts, hail and an isolated tornado will all be possible. Stay weather aware!

STRONG THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE TONIGHT/TOMORROW
All of Eastern Indiana and some of Western Ohio have been placed in a Marginal (Level 1 of 5) risk for strong thunderstorms for tonight. Showers and Thunderstorms will be possible during the late overnight hours. These thunderstorms have the potential to produce gusty winds, some hail and heavy rain. The thunderstorms how ever will gradually weaken as they approach the I-69 corridor. We will see a round of rain move in during the afternoon and evening hours.

A Marginal Risk is in place for all of Eastern Indiana and Ohio for Friday. Another round of showers and thunderstorms will develop during the late afternoon and evening hours on Friday. These thunderstorms have the potential to produce gusty winds, some hail and heavy rain.

EXCESSIVE RAINFAL POTENTIAL
Weather is expected to stay dry across Eastern Indian and Ohio today. However, we have an approaching low pressure system that will bring showers and thunderstorms for the remainder of the week and into the weekend. Flooding will be a concern along with the potential for strong thunderstorms on Friday.

I am behind posting from Tuesdays severe weather but 4 tornadoes were confirmed for parts of Northeast Ohio from Tuesdays severe thunderstorms. A microburst was also confirmed producing straight line winds between 70-100mph.

Besides the 4 confirmed tornadoes, The NWS survey teams also confirmed a MACROBURST enveloped parts of Cuyahoga, Lake, & Geauga Counties. Wind gusts likely reached 70 to 100mph in this zone (highlighted in yellow)

A macroburst of wind that causes damage extending more than 2.5miles-lasting for up to 5-20 minutes.
