Christmas Stories Series: Lessons from the Birth of Jesus

Lesson 3:Mary’s positive sense of self.

Let's reflect on the remarkable response of Mary, the mother of Jesus to Angel Gabriel’s message that she will conceive and give birth to the Savior. "Then Mary said, Behold, _I am the handmaiden of the Lord_; let it be done to me according to what you have said." Luke 1:38

There are two important lessons we can learn from this simple statement:
Mary has a solid sense of identity. Rooted in her statement is her of purpose, core values, beliefs, roles and goals. “I am” are two powerful words that define who we are. ( Jesus later came up with 7 “I ams” in His ministry). My question to you is: Who are you? What are your core values, beliefs and goals as a person?
This season is a good time to go on a personal self discovery journey. . . Mary’s confession is positive. And, she later received what confessed. What are your confessions? Your confession becomes your possession. Be mindful of what you confess. Train yourself or learn to always be positive even if your circumstances don’t look good. With your confession you can either create a positive or negative outcome - choose wisely. Proverbs 18:21

The Christmas Story Series

Pt.2:No Word from God Fails!

As we continue our Christmas Story series, today, our attention is being directed to the powerful lesson in Luke 1:37 - ”No word from God is impossible of fulfillment.”
This truth is beautifully illustrated in the birth of Jesus, where every word spoken by God through tangel Gabriel came to pass.

Revisiting the Words of Prophecy

As we celebrate the season of Christmas, I encourage you to revisit every word of prophecy that you may have previously received. Whether it was through a personal encounter, a sermon, or a song, remember that every word from God is waiting to come alive. Hebrews 4:12

Personalize and Declare

Take these words to the Lord in prayer, personalize them, and declare your faith in waiting for their manifestation. Remind God of His promise in Isaiah 55:11, "So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it."

Stand on God's Promises

Stand on 2 Chronicles 20:20, which says, "Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper." Determine to prosper by the word of God in this season.

Partner with Us to Give Hope

As we celebrate the season of giving, I invite you to partner with the Adebimpe Daniel-Ishola Foundation to reach out, offer hope and spread love to the underprivileged in our communities- lepers, blind, orphans and widows. As we celebrate the season of Giving and Receiving, let's not forget those who are often overlooked and marginalized. Lepers, the blind, orphans, and widows are just a few examples of those who desperately need our love, care, and support.

In Matthew 25:31-46, Jesus teaches us that whatever we do for the least of these, we do for Him. Let's put our faith into action and reach out to those who need us most.

Happy New Month!

As we step into the festive month of December, we're reminded of the best Gift ever! - JESUS. “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

This season is a reminder that we will always have the poor, the underserved and those who are underprivileged around us. It is a season to demonstrate acts of love and kindness by reaching out to them with gifts whether in kindness or cash.

Scriptures teach us that when we give, we shall receive as well; that, it is more blessed to give than to receive and similar verses. This is a season you can give and be certain that you will be rewarded for your generosity because Giving always precedes Receiving as expressed by Paul in Philippians 4:15; “. . . not one church shared with me in the matter of Giving and Receiving, except you only."

Happy New Month!

As we step into the festive month of December, we're reminded of the best Gift ever! - JESUS. “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
