CHARITY SPOTLIGHT! Charity Newsies provides brand new clothing for kids from kindergarten through 12th grade who live in Franklin County to go to school. Each child receives six sets of underwear, six pairs of socks, a coat, three pairs of pants and three shirts (or school required uniforms) and a hat and gloves. All of the clothing is dress code compliant and, for schools requiring uniforms, they provide vouchers toward the purchase of uniforms.

The mission of Charity Newsies is that no child shall be kept out of school for lack of adequate clothing.

Aaron Jackson is a long-time board member of the Central Ohio Hot Jazz Society. He was a music educator for 37 years and has been a working musician for over 40 years. He can be found every Wednesday and Saturday evening tooting oompah music on the tuba at Schmidt's Sausage Haus, and he plays in the Northside Jazz Band.

Leah’s piece “You and Me” hangs in the windows of the Greater Columbus Arts Council's offices; we chatted with her about her work, process and what she created for Art Spot.

Jeremy Jarvis has been a professional muralist and painter for more than 20 years, mostly in Columbus after graduating from CCAD. He’s the lead artist for the Hilltop’s ARtsway cohort, a mural-tech mentorship program for high school students, which takes place in four Columbus neighborhoods through July and August.

Also known as 4C or “The Fork,” the venue is located at 80 Parsons Ave, across from Coffee!

Neethi is Vice President, Digital Strategy at JP Morgan Chase. She also serves the community as a member of ’s Columbus Leadership Council and board treasurer at , she is involved in several organizations at (including for young professionals) where she serve as membership lead of their national board, and she’s passionate about financial literacy and access to services like healthcare and financial education.
