You post multiple times a week, but you still aren’t getting any sales or even any engagement. Why?
Probably because you are more focused on how much you are posting and not focused enough on what you are posting and why.
A solid strategy nurtures your audience no matter what stage of the info to action pipeline they are in.
To develop your strategy you have to look at your past analytics, competitive analysis and have strong buyer personas. Without these things you are just wasting your time throwing spaghetti at the wall and hoping it will stick.

How are you switching up your marketing strategy in 2024?

Cringey overly scripted overtly salesy marketing is DEAD.
Consumers want to feel connected with a brand. The over-saturation of unrealistic promises of results from low-quality MLMish affiliate courses and endless money grabs on TikTok shop have left people feeling cynical and uninterested.

So what can you do about it?
•Develop a CLEAR and authentic brand voice that speaks your target audience’s pain points without seeming predatory
•Create more long-form and high quality content opposed to pumping out anything just to say you posted.
•Engage with your audience to find out what they actually want to see and hear from you.
•Invest in your brand to ensure that you are providing a product or a service that you are truly happy with, confident in and is valuable to your audience-not just profitable for you.

Set it and forget it is not the way to go when it comes to cultivating a community around your brand.
If you want engagement you have to engage!
Don’t know where to start?
✨Interact with other business/brands within your niche (there is enough room for everyone to be successful)
✨Interact with local businesses and networking groups
✨Respond thoughtfully to comments
✨Engage with potential clients in a way that is “them-focused” opposed to “sales-focused”
✨Create interactive stories like polls or Q&A’s and have clear calls to action in your captions.

Just showing up isn’t enough-but it’s a start!

An important reminder no matter what industry your business or personal brand is in:
FOLLOWER COUNT IS NOT AN INDICATOR OF SUCCESS!
It is exciting and wonderful to have a large audience or platform and the right social media strategy can absolutely get you there but quality over quantity is absolutely the name of the game.
If you have an audience that is engaging and part of your target demographic you are doing a great job! ✨
As a social media professional I constantly find myself in the cobbler with no shoes category where I am so focused on creating content and growth for my clients that my own profiles often shift to the back burner. 😣
I find that both humbling and exciting that I am able to be busy enough in my business to have that kind of problem, but it also serves as a reminder that
1) I can be successful without a huge social following because my work speaks for itself
2) It’s okay to take time to work ON my business sometimes and not just IN my business.

Too often businesses post anything just to have something on their feed 🤦🏽‍♀️
Before you post, it’s important to ask yourself these 3 questions:
•Is it Relevant?
What you’re posting should align with your niche, expertise, content buckets etc
•Does it Provide Value?
You should be providing something valuable to your audience: a tip, information about a service/product, answering a question etc
•What is the Purpose?
Know what the goal of your post is: inform & educate, create leads, incite engagement etc
•Keeping these questions in mind when planning your content will lead to a better, well executed feed with a purpose that will keep your audience coming back for more!
