Ricky Standing On A Star!
The purpose of my recent trip to Dallas was to visit AT&T Stadium to watch the Cowboys play the Lions. I bought a sports package from Tyus Tours & Travel, which included a game ticket, 2 nights at a hotel, round-trip transportation from DFW Airport, plus a Bill Bates tailgate party and a tour of AT&T Stadium.
The start of my trip was delayed by 45 minutes on I-75 Northbound due to construction, which meant I reached the airport at 2:30 pm. My flight began boarding at 2:59 pm. Thankfully, the travel insurance I had (Cancel for Any Reason) wasn't needed because, with the Spirit Airlines package I purchased, Go Comfy, I breezed through ticketing and TSA, reaching the gate before boarding commenced. Kudos to Spirit Airlines for a smooth and safe trip to and from Dallas.
After landing in Dallas, my driver texted me with pickup instructions before my plane reached the gate. Once I collected my luggage, I informed him of my location and attire, and he arrived to pick me up within 4 minutes. During the drive to Loews Hotel, the driver pointed out Six Flags, Texas Rangers Stadium, and the vibrant bars and restaurants in the area.
Loews Hotel in Arlington, Texas, is stunning! It offers everything you need under one roof. The hotel is a destination on its own with state-of-the-art meeting spaces, unique dining experiences, and numerous amenities, including a full-service spa and salon, a fitness center, a resort-style beach club with two pools, cabanas, fire pits, a water slide, and an authentic sandy beach. Guests can also access Live! by Loews – Arlington via a sky bridge, offering two distinct accommodation options in one location.
Game day began with 97-degree heat and a 15-minute walk to the pre-game tailgate party at Boiling Tails Restaurant. The experience was fantastic, with plenty of food and 1 pm games on the big screen. The tailgate was conveniently located right across the street from AT&T Stadium.
AT&T Stadium is incredible. I took the above photo inside the stadium fairgrounds, where I could enjoy food and watch the game. Inside, I quickly found my seat in the upper concourse, but the enormous screen meant every seat offered a great view. As you know, the Lions soundly defeated the Cowboys.
The next day, we toured AT&T Stadium, visiting the Cowboys and Cheerleaders locker rooms. We had an interactive A.I. meeting with Jerry Jones and saw a store (though it wasn't open) showcasing College Football featuring the Ohio State Buckeyes. Finally, we stepped onto the field and took group photos, including one of me standing on the star.
