Y’all just don’t know how much this photo speaks volumes. Not only am I happy but my kids are so much more happier to see their mom happy. All they ever wanted to see was their mom happy and whole and for them to be able to experience that it means so much to me. We as moms don’t think our children are ever effected by a situation but they are. Our kids are definitely effected by what we go through in our life no matter how much we try to shield and protect them. When I was down out and sad so was my kids. I kept asking myself why are my kids so sad? I give them everything they need and could ever want why are they still sad? Even though I was hurting and going through it I was in survival mode and what I didn’t know by pretending to be happy, keeping my feelings pushed down and throwing myself into work overload is that I was actually functioning under (High Functioning Depression). But truth be told my kids was experiencing the same experiences I had but I just didn’t see it because I thought by shielding and protecting them that they would be okay and whatever I told them to cover up things would be enough. I’m sorry for not realizing that the pain and scars I covered up was also effecting you guys. I’m sorry for lying to you guys and saying everything would be okay when deep down I didn’t know if it would be. I’m sorry for not leaving the situation quicker then I should have. I’m sorry for ignoring red flags and continuing a journey that only led us down more of a path of sadness and destruction. I hope that by seeing your mom push through and finally choosing ME that it also gives you the STRENGTH to choose you as well. I hope that when you see red flags unlike ME you will END things and NEVER LOOK BACK! I love you guys more then you will ever know and I promise from this day forward you will not experience NOTHING LESS of HAPPINESS . I will forever protect you and show you from this day forward that SELF LOVE IS THE BEST LOVE.
