Katie’s finds this week from Do You Remember!

Valued Patrons/Readers.....we have received some not so positive feed back on not having much coverage of the boys basketball team. Just a friendly reminder that we can only cover what our sports writer receives. Coaches are emailed weekly for quotes and coverage. When our writers do not receive emails back and stats are not put in, it is extremely hard to have stories highlighting the games.

We understand the frustration and we are frustrated the same. We have contacted the athletic director for some help with this and are trying our best to provide accurate stats. Like I said it is very hard when we get zero response from the coaching staff.

Please do not think we don't care about ALL of our sports teams! Unfortunately this has been an issue for a few years that we have been direly trying to change.

If there is a parent or grandparent that would be willing to submit stats or some information about games, please reach out to [email protected].

Thank you and hopefully this clears up whatever negative opinion about out sports coverage is out there. We strive to provide excellent coverage of our local athletes.

One part I love about working for the Gazette and taking over “Do You Remember” from Mary is all the old photos, ads, and logos I find! Hoping to incorporate some with the writings!!!

Hey there Patrons/Valued Readers!! Just a friendly reminder that if your address is Conesville, but your home sits in Louisa County, you are still subject to the bordering county rates. Conesville mail goes through Muscatine county and is distributed by that county, not louisa, therefore your paper costs a little more to mail out. Valued Customers~ We have a paper snafu today. Our printers did not print the entire paper....we are missing our sports pages. Next week we will have 4 sports pages. We have called and they are sorry but that still leaves us short. We are so sorry for this and appreciate the understanding!!!
