Show leader Wesley Williams, a Fort Lauderdale native, spoke about the calculations his performers use to shoot out of canons at 65 miles per hour, more than 110 feet in the air, among other several neat tricks. Children clapped and cheered as performers balanced on tall towers, double-dutched nearly 30 feet in the air and even rode a unicycle, jumping over teacher volunteers.

Film creators and Calera residents Terry W. Wester and Kevin Wayne, along with Matthew Wester, utilized majority local talent, shooting 100 percent of the film in Alabama. The film was shot as a concept to pitch a three-season TV show of the same name. The 42-minute film, although fictional, was inspired by Terry’s experiences as a Free Mason of 15 years. Earlier this morning, the City of Helena-Helena, Alabama hosted its annual Christmas parade down Highway 261, drawing hundreds of attendees. More than 20 different floats including marching band performers, dancers, fire trucks and of course, Santa Claus himself, processed down the route waving and throwing candy to children.
