A cold, but snowless, air mass is inbound to central Alabama! We're expecting multiple nights with freezing temperatures through early next week. The coldest conditions looks to occur Monday and Tuesday mornings, when low temperatures in the lower 20s could be widespread, perhaps a few communities reaching the upper 10s across northern Alabama. The daytime will be chilly with the northern-third of the state staying in the 40s for high temperatures on Monday and Tuesday.

Is it here to stay? Not necessarily. Temperatures should rebound a bit mid to late week.

A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN SHELBY AND NORTHEASTERN BIBB COUNTIES THROUGH 330 AM CST. [Hazard: Wind Gusts Up To 40 Mph.]
