Sports fans tend to love their nostalgia, so I share this with you Tiger fans, my friend Tommy Tubbs posted this yesterday as he recognized his dad Billy's 90th birthday. We saw some fantastic rivalry games between OU and Mizzou, including last night, but Coach Stewart and Coach Tubbs were great friends who shared a deep respect. Sadly we lost Billy a few years ago, but Norm is still around, and will forever be a Tiger icon.

Cheers to all those years. They're even older than KBIA 91.3 FM! Congratulations to our colleagues at KOMU 8

Did you know Missouri and Iowa almost went to war in the 1800s? Each claimed ownership over a strip of land along the border and believed it had the right…

28 years ago today.
I've been on the radio nearly 40 years, and covered some truly awful stories. The post office shooting in my home town, 9-11, wars, murders, Gov. Carnahan's death. April 19, 1995 is the only time I couldn't do the job. I left KBIA that morning to let others handle the news. I just couldn't. And it still hurts like hell.
