We are sure by now you have read, heard, and watched this video on the slave trade going on in Libya. Among those being traded are Nigerians judging from the video and also the identity of one of those interviewed during the clip. This is ugly and truly a nightmare that in this age and time, Nigerians... from the country that is supposedly the giant of Africa are being sold for $400, $700... this is outrageous and barbaric. Many have voiced their opinions on this matter and we are hoping that the Nigerian government will take a strong stand against this hideous issue and demand the release of all Nigerians encamped within these walls. We are calling on the government to address this matter with an austere message to the Libyan government. Modern day slavery must NOT be allowed. They are our people, our brothers... our Nigeria-Taking Stock.

Nigeria.... Nigerians...the clock is ticking and we are gradually approaching another round of elections. Would we continue to dwell like those in the land of the blind? When shall it be that we put our feet down and discern right from wrong? Shall be continue to allow greed and selfness reign over the general good of the people?

It is time we decide and make conscious efforts to set the record straight; make choices of leaders who will put the people first; engage the youths and create a sustainable society. Invest in infrastructure that will create jobs and re-institutionalize the culture of positivity and prosperity.

The days of divisiveness and rhetoric that amount to the collapse of the unity and threatens are moral value must be in the past. We must embrace good governance to set the stage for growth.

A food for thought for those who have decide they have the mandate to rule the people. It is ours...Our Nigeria-Taking stock
