The films from the 2024 Stronger Than Fiction Film Festival are available to watch on the Murray Center's website NOW! All of the films will only be available through Sunday, May 19. You can find links to the individual films at the top of the homepage:

The 13 films that make up this year’s festival are the end product of more than a year of work from undergraduate and graduate students at the Jonathan B. Murray Center for Documentary Journalism at the Missouri School of Journalism.

Congratulations to three Murray Center alums for advancing deep into this year's College Photographer of the Year's documentary short category. Beatrice Bankauskaite and Sean Frost were finalists for the top prize for their films Home and Taylor: A Portrait of Becoming, respectively. Katie Kriz won an Award of Excellence for her film Exposed. In all, five of the nine projects in the semifinals were Murray Center Films, including work from alums Cora Mitchell and Maya Bell.
