This coming Wednesday November 15th we will be releasing the first single from the forthcoming LP by Ohio band Sweetheart.
Originally recorded in 2005 before the band broke up (and never released). This will be the first of 3 singles released over the next few months leading up to the release of the Lp and accompanying EP. Yep look for two releases/records from Sweetheart. More on that later. Stay tuned on Wednesday when we drop the first single.

In the early 2000s I was playing in Bald Eagle, and I’m not sure how we met the guys in Sweetheart. Possibly we first met them when they came through Columbia and played at the Ranch. I know we ended up playing with them at Eastside and a few times in St. Louis as well (radio Cherokee, Collective Records showcase) and a bunch of times in Ohio. The connection was deep, we found a band that could keep up with our guitar riffs, could hold their own in a basketball game, Bryan could out beard me. They truly were one of the nicest bands we met while touring, always willing to put us up, help with a show etc. they quickly became friends with One Inch Punch, Subscribe, and Warhammer 48K as well. And introduced us to many Ohio bands as well. Found memories of Bald Eagle sitting in on Ahmed’s radio show, and Ahmed making us Reese Pieces pancakes. Introducing us to Taco Ninja and Used Kids Records in Columbus. I have a lot of great stories and memories with these guys. I’ll save some of those for later. Obviously we are excited to be releasing this stuff and obviously it’s still months away before it’s all said and done and out in the world. Follow along and for those of you that aren’t familiar with Sweetheart, change that. Maybe you’ve never heard them and that’s exactly why I do this label.
Very happy to announce that we will be working with our old friends, Sweetheart on releasing not one, but two unreleased records by them.
Sweetheart are old friends of mine and we played a lot of shows together in the early 2000s. The Kent/Columbus Ohio band quickly became good friends of ours as we found a common bound in music, food, and basketball. They always took care of us when we rolled through Ohio and it’s been amazing to reconnect with them. They truly are “sweethearts” in every sense of the word.
They have a EP and LP that never saw the light of day and we will be releasing them either late 2023 or early 2024. Lots more on that to come.
For fans of Harriet The Spy, Party of Helicopters, Hot Cross, and Yaphet Kotto.
We are just getting started on the world of Sweetheart, stay tuned.

If you missed it (I’m not sure how you would have) but we have unleashed this beast out into the world.
Originally released in 1996 by Shute Records and Dischord, and reissued in 2005 (with new artwork) by @polyvinylrecords but always only on CD. The world of emo and punk was left with a hole and it wanted to be filled by a vinyl version of Audio Flame Kit.
Step into 2023 and @expertworkrecords and @american_handstand_records have made it happen.
Limited to 300 copies on opaque red and housed in a gatefold jacket. Out now and currently shipping. We are down to a little over 100 copies left, so act fast.

Our next release is a co-release with @american_handstand_records and it will officially be announced this week (probably Monday or Tuesday) with a pre-order to follow. This is a re-issue of one of favorite records from the mid 90s on vinyl for the very first time. Stay tuned for lots more info on this one.

Pre-orders start this Friday June 2nd.
We’ve slowly been working on getting a batch of songs mixed and mastered for a proper Twenty-One Trillion release.
Twenty-One Trillion is a “new” project I’ve been working on with my friend Todd Ramsey (Prozac Memory/Breaker Morant/Wintergreen). Hopefully we will have something proper to share by the end of the year. Stay tuned for updates.
