This one has been in the works for a long time. Proud and happy to say IT’S STILL HAPPENING. @american_handstand_records and @expertworkrecords will be co-releasing the @tintorettoband LP. Shooting for a June or July release date for this. It’s been sent off, just waiting on a few things before we set an official “release date”. Lots more to come about this one and we are beyond excited that it is finally seeing the light of day. You are in for a treat.
If you are unfamiliar with @tintorettoband here is a little info:
With the demise of Managra in early 1998, three out of the six members moved on to start their own project that reflected upon the more gloomier aspects of indie-noise. Highly influenced by bands like Hoover, The Crownhate Ruin, June of 44, Slint and The Last Crime. Accompanied by ballads that dealt with death and an extensive knowledge of art history.
Following a brief tour of the East Coast and the release of their self-titled debut EP on Highwater Records a year later, the band called it a day during their second US tour.
Tintoretto released a 4-song CD entitled The Sound Of Someone You Love Who Is Leaving… The Sound Of Someone You Love Is Leaving… And It Doesn’t Really Matter in 1998 on Highwater Records from Austin, TX and four more songs were posthumously released in 2000 on a compilation CD entitled A Four Way Stop, released on 404 records. Members went on to play in Call Me Lightning, Hero of A Hundred Fights, Murder In The Red Barn, Haymarket Riot, Zebras, and Fuiguirnet.
I did an interview with Game, Brains and A Head-Banging Life @gbhbl about the label, @sweetheartohio and lots more.
You can listen to it on Spotify, watch it on YouTube or visit the @gbhbl website to check it out. Links in bio.
“Talking Tall” by @sweetheartohio will be released this Friday January 5th. It’s the last single we will be releasing before the official release of their LP, “The Unbearable Tightness of Being” and their EP, “The Process of Making Us Well” both out on February 2nd.
If you like what you see and hear, the records can be pre-ordered from us via bandcamp and limited run. Links in bio.
This coming Wednesday November 15th we will be releasing the first single from the forthcoming LP by Ohio band Sweetheart.
Originally recorded in 2005 before the band broke up (and never released). This will be the first of 3 singles released over the next few months leading up to the release of the Lp and accompanying EP. Yep look for two releases/records from Sweetheart. More on that later. Stay tuned on Wednesday when we drop the first single.

@cougars_pfft_pfft playing @nocoastfest shot by @tgic_recs bummed I missed it.
If you missed them or didn’t grab a record, we still have copies and we ship all over the world. Link in bio to buy a record.
Very happy to announce that we will be working with our old friends, Sweetheart on releasing not one, but two unreleased records by them.
Sweetheart are old friends of mine and we played a lot of shows together in the early 2000s. The Kent/Columbus Ohio band quickly became good friends of ours as we found a common bound in music, food, and basketball. They always took care of us when we rolled through Ohio and it’s been amazing to reconnect with them. They truly are “sweethearts” in every sense of the word.
They have a EP and LP that never saw the light of day and we will be releasing them either late 2023 or early 2024. Lots more on that to come.
For fans of Harriet The Spy, Party of Helicopters, Hot Cross, and Yaphet Kotto.
We are just getting started on the world of Sweetheart, stay tuned.

Out now!!!! Link in bio to order.
Record stores hit us up if you want copies.
If you missed it (I’m not sure how you would have) but we have unleashed this beast out into the world.
Originally released in 1996 by Shute Records and Dischord, and reissued in 2005 (with new artwork) by @polyvinylrecords but always only on CD. The world of emo and punk was left with a hole and it wanted to be filled by a vinyl version of Audio Flame Kit.
Step into 2023 and @expertworkrecords and @american_handstand_records have made it happen.
Limited to 300 copies on opaque red and housed in a gatefold jacket. Out now and currently shipping. We are down to a little over 100 copies left, so act fast.

Our next release is a co-release with @american_handstand_records and it will officially be announced this week (probably Monday or Tuesday) with a pre-order to follow. This is a re-issue of one of favorite records from the mid 90s on vinyl for the very first time. Stay tuned for lots more info on this one.
