We want to thank both team’s staff for welcoming us in as they prepared for this game, we hope we did the story justice as these boys continue to grow as young men.

“In this episode, despite these setbacks, both teams maintain focus. Lower Richland aims to assert their physical dominance, while Spring Valley seeks to sharpen their mental game, having struggled with costly penalties in their last outing.

The episode culminates on a perfect Friday night under the lights, where Lower Richland’s relentless effort pays off. Their physicality proves too much for Spring Valley, who falters due to mental errors and penalties. Lower Richland cruises to a 41-7 victory, putting an exclamation point on their comeback.

In a heartwarming moment after the game, Coach Taylor awards the game ball to defensive coordinator Coach Harry Curnell, who had helped guide the team through the early season while dealing with a personal health issue. This touching gesture marks the team's bond and resilience.”

After an insightful conversation with Coach Caleb Fuller, I decided to check out Dune 2—his recommendation made a lasting impact. The movie's breathtaking visuals and intense atmosphere resonated deeply, shaping much of the edit in this video. As I pieced together the footage, the epic scope and dramatic tension of Dune 2 influenced my aesthetic choices, from the pacing to the visual style.

You’ll notice subtle nods to another cinematic masterpiece, Blade Runner 2049. The rich, moody color palette, the hauntingly beautiful soundtrack, and the use of slow motion are all deliberate choices inspired by the film. These elements add layers of depth and intensity to the video, creating an immersive experience that feels both futuristic and timeless.

Coach Fuller’s recommendation truly elevated this project, merging the worlds of sport and cinema in a way that’s visually striking and emotionally powerful. I’m excited for you all to experience the final result—let me know what you think!

Last year as all the Football content really took off Wade Sellers of Coal Powered Film Works in Columbia SC https://www.facebook.com/wade.sellers.9 & https://www.facebook.com/coalpoweredfilmworks and a writer for Jasper Magazine reached out to me about doing an article on the film I ade about the Ridge View High School Football program during their Spring Practice in 2023. When the article came out and due to my schedule and responsibilities on another project at the time I completely forgot about it. I didn’t even have a chance to pick up a copy of the issue, but I recently read he’s fantastic take on our discussion and couldn’t be prouder to be recognized for my work by a well-respected fellow filmmaker.

🌟 One year ago, I embarked on an incredible journey as a filmmaker and business owner.

Reflecting on this past year, I'm proud of how far I've come and the stories I've brought to life through my lens. While I feel a tinge of sadness not being back with AU Football, I'm thrilled for the new adventures ahead with different teams.

OK! Here’s my favorite AU sequence #2. It’s a recut version with some slight changes to focus on the game action only. Growing up as kid, then a player both in high school and college I watched the “crunch course” VHS tapes religiously. In late 80’s and early 90’s they came out with newer versions called “NFL Rocks” which were cut to more contemporary rock n roll etc…
…but being able to shoot this sequence and then edit it into this was simply me relieving my childhood memories of sitting on the couch after summer weight lighting watching Lawrence Taylor and Walter Payton rumble and bumble across our little TV screen, hoping one day I would have the same glorious physical feat in my own gridiron memory.
Although this is a short video, what I learned while doing this was, you have to be in that Locker room, on the practice field and in the meeting room a good amount of time before the action tasks place to be able to capture the action in a meaningful way.
These videos showcase the dedication, strategy, and emotions behind the scenes, providing fans with a richer, more engaging experience.

It’s not always, sweaty camera work with a team of young men and coaches. I believe what I do is of service to the people and the story I am telling for them.

We had an opportunity to work with The Reading League of South Carolina last year for one of their film screening event they did at R2I2 here in Columbia SC.

I am a big believer of “mastering your craft” and getting out of your comfort zone in every way possible. This includes creatively, in business and life.

For this client we were able to slow down, capture and tell the story of their experience during this fantastic event. This forced us to be very deliberate with every choice to make sure we represented the client in the best light!
It was great to stretch our wings a bit.

I wanted to post some of my favorite scenes from the
Anderson Football docuseries revealing some of the inspirations to what I was thinking about when planning, shooting and editing the key sequences in the episodes.

All the work I make is based in storytelling. I am always asking myself “does the shot serve the story that is unfolding in front of the audience” and “is it doing something new with the media to serve the tradition of filmmaking?” (not necessarily social media)

Look, I like the money shot as much as the next guy but what I want to show is the plethora of money shots that the tell the story of how we got to “THE” money shot.

This particular sequence references several films I loved as a kid. I wanted to live in the world of the NFL Films VHS tapes of 80’s & 90’s, while providing a fresh take on contemporary football media. As a kid I loved the way the creators would put these heroic scenes together using classical music and in later years classic rock music, that created the feeling of dance/ ballet sequence….(also it may be my Fine Arts background as well)

There are definitely nods to the Rocky movies (more specifically IV),but also the Mary Poppins chimney sweep scene and more recently LA LA Land, but remaining in the world of football.

It’s hard to believe that it has been just over a year that we switched gears with the company to concentrate on creating dynamic football content. I am forever in debt to Head Coach Derek Howard for allowing me to come out and capture a pivotal time in their team’s history and use the footage to make a film that raised a little bit of money for the team. Without that opportunity we wouldn’t have got the chance to work with Anderson University Football.
As we head into the Fall season, we are excited about the new opportunities ahead as we work with other programs, coaches and athletes during this exciting time in both high school and college football. It is our hope to create a mechanism for recruiting, fundraising and historical documentation through storytelling & filmmaking for the programs we are currently working with and all we hope to work with in the future.
