It's a winter wonderland here in central MO to kick off December with several inches of snow cover along I-70. This is still covering side roads but highways and major interstates look clear. Another shot of very light flurries is expected for the Monday morning commute

Snow is coming down this morning and will last through the early afternoon along and north of I-70. Totals could easily push above 3 inches along the interstate with a freeze following overnight. Avoid travel on I-70 today and bundle up for even colder temperatures ahead!

It will be dangerously cold this weekend, and cold enough for snow tomorrow! Models coming in this morning are still on track for 1 to 3 inches of snow near or along I-70, which could shift north or south. Travel won't be impossible but try to avoid the roads early Saturday
