What makes a hero? They don't always have it together, personally. They don't always know how far they CAN go, but they do know how far they WILL go. That commitment can change who they are and what they are capable of. That's the kind of story I want to read. How about you?
From Failure to Character
Failure is necessary for great stories -- how our characters deal with (and sometimes create) failure reveals their inner character. To create real characters, give your heroes flaws and your villains positives. It's the inner character that inspires and connects us to our favorite characters.
