International Anglican Church (IAC) sent to Colorado Springs by the church in Rwanda to receive & release the gospel that heals—together

At IAC, we are rooted in the sacred traditions of the church, passionate about the Scriptures, and utterly dependent on the Holy Spirit. We were planted in America by the Anglican Church of Rwanda and have been uniquely shaped by that relationship. Please see our springsiac.org/events page for worship service information.

Join us for one of our upcoming services, all annual traditions here at IAC!

CHRISTMAS EVE:
Kid Pageant, 10am
Lessons & Carols, 4pm & 6pm

LONGEST NIGHT SERVICE:
December 22, 5:30pm

The Longest Night Service is a space of music, prayers, and practices to help us acknowledge our losses and fears before God. It takes place on the longest night of the year in the northern hemisphere. As we leave the service together, each day from this point on will be getting imperceptibly brighter — an image and promise from the One who loves us beyond all imagining and holds our sorrows in His wounded hands.

We’d love to see you. Merry Christmas!

When we discover Advent as the weighty season of spiritual preparation that it is, we may grow dismayed by the onslaught of Christmas festivities that characterize December in our culture. In order to observe Advent properly, must we turn up our noses at Christmas carols, decorations, and parties? In the words of Mark Brians, rector of All Saints Anglican in Honolulu, “The question Advent poses to us is not so much ‘How do I avoid letting any Christmas ruin my precious Advent?’ but rather ‘How do I allow Advent to slow-roast my Christmas pleasures?’” Rather than resisting all our culture’s festivities, allow your moments of early Christmas merriment to stoke the fires of your longing for the King.

The way we steward our physical space is a reflection of our heart towards the stranger, and we desire that anyone who would come to IAC’s table would have space to receive the healing the gospel has for them.

Therefore we are shifting to 3 services each Sunday, starting December 1 (the first Sunday of Advent) to make room at the table. Our new service times starting this Sunday are 8am, 9:30am & 11am.

Our hope and heart is to create opportunities for those who are new to our community to find their place among us while also creating new opportunities for connection for those already here.

Please join us in prayer over the next few days as the American election unfolds.

1 Timothy 2:1-2: I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people — for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

American Christianity needs to hear gospel for the realm of politics. Pastor Ken Robertson with International Anglican Church (IAC) partnered with Jason Jackson from New Life Downtown for a two-part class featuring lecture, Q&A and group discussion that simplifies and synthesizes the core principles of following Jesus into the political realm.

"It helps to be around other voices to find your voice." — Cherryl Romaniszyn (leader of our Art + Faith ministry)

Jacoby Elliott (our Director of Communications) recently had a chance to visit with some of the A+F crew to discuss the purpose of our ministry, the value of spending time with other creatives, and the ways art and faith can inform each other. Kristi McCauley also shares her experience of performing an aerial silks piece set to original music by musicians in our community. The weaving together of these conversations resulted in this video — a love letter to the artists already in our midst and an invitation for others to join us at our monthly gatherings. Our next gathering will be at Bear Creek Park on July 13 at 10am. Register here: http://bit.ly/3xN7Kzl

Our Story

IAC was sent by the church of Rwanda into Colorado Springs to receive and release the gospel that truly heals. We are rooted in the sacred traditions of the church, passionate about the Scriptures, and utterly dependent on the Holy Spirit. We gather together at two services on Sunday morning, at 9AM and 10:45AM, and scatter together throughout our city all through the week.
