VERY SAD TODAY AS MY DEAR FRIEND BETTY WHITE HAS DIED. We were planning on celebrating her 100th birthday Feb. 17th. Betty wrote the forewords to my first two books. She did several videos in support of my Veterinary News Network and was always available to help any animal cause. She was a dear. In real life she was exactly what you see on the screen. Sweet, Witty, Funny and Sharp. I know she missed Allen dearly since the day he died. We've lost a national treasure. I was proud to call her my friend. See you later Betty. Dr. Jim Humphries

A Texas woman suffered “broken-heart syndrome” following the death of her Yorkshire terrier, Meha.Totsubo Cardiomyopathy is a condition with symptoms that mimic heart attacks. It usually occurs following an emotional event such as the loss of a spouse or child. That link has given the illness its more colloquial name: broken-heart syndrome. You may find this interesting.
