But this is an important matter we need to consider every day. Mental health is health, it impacts all aspects of our lives.

Today, I encourage you to stop. Stop scrolling, stop worrying, stop whatever you are doing and take 2 minutes. Sit, breathe. Reflect on the good things in your life. Being a human is tough.

For so many years, I struggled. Tired of labels, never fitting in, I created my own label. The pink sheep. But even that was hard. People can be cruel when you’re different (and some people really despise the color pink!) It can force you back into the conformity box. But I persevered, and now I advocate for those who aren’t like “everyone else.” And hard days still happen. They happen for us all. But together we can rid the world of the mental health stigma and make us all happier and healthier.

Do something for you today. Even if it’s making a plan to do something for you later this month. Plan a date night! Get a massage. Leave work early and go for a walk. You deserve it. 💖
