What a weekend! They say “be careful” working with friends and family… but we heartily disagree. Our client turned friend, absolutely threw down this weekend. Proud of her and all she gave. took point on all event production, video content and in room details and I was able to create so many fun designs for swag, in room screens, threw two amazing on-site parties for Kristen’s students, and curated all the event details. It was a blast and I’m so proud of what our production and creative team created. Hard work culminating in a beautiful experience for an awesome client.

What is it about a cute little nooks? November and December just get me all contemplative with less time doing
and more time— being. Days seem to shrink, sunlight is more sacred, and we gravitate towards spaces and routines that just feel good and restful. I’d love to know— where is your go- to landing spot? For our family it’s wherever the sunlight is. Do you lounge? Sit at the island or table? Fireplace or on the floor? Where do your people congregate. Tell me— I live for this stuff! Xo -T

Entering our 4th year of hosting next week! From our very first guests to our new friends staying right now, we’ve enjoyed *almost* every minute of this wild ride. People are so good. If you’re like me, and you walk into a place like Costco, you might be tempted to forget that for a second.

You don’t have to go all out, to be all in! We put this little disposable/ recyclable table scape together at Christmas to prove cute + simple + cost effective is doable. Make the crafts, or don’t. Prep a big meal or order your favorite takeout. Celebrate life and beauty this weekend in the ways that make sense for you and commit to being a stress free, worry free, hustle free zone.

It’s good to remember the “before” and not just the “after”.

For us, this little b+w photo represents some hard work and imagination. Making the plans, ordering the windows, some tweaks, some things we’d probably change if we were doing it again…
When we need a dose of courage or a couple ounces of mental fortitude, we pause and reflect on how far we’ve come. The good stuff in life seems to be right in the middle of that wild juxtaposed chasm of the “before” and the “after”. Learning to celebrate that tension.
