Honesty Bookshop is in Hay-on-Wye, Wales and nicknamed as “World’s First Book Town,” it's tucked away on the historic grounds of Hay Castle. Since the 1960s, the open-air bookstore operates 24-hours a day, and is great for getting your favourite book and some sunshine.

10 years and 300 rejection emails later, Heather got her book into the world through Amazon Kindle. The Third Kiss: Dorian's Dream her novel went to number one for Vampire Romance and then she was picked up by a prominent agent. Even when she felt like giving up she never did!

After being rejected for 9 years, Amanda decided to self-publish her stories as e-books for her family and friends, and to raise $300 for a road trip, well now her trilogy has sold over 1 million copies, she has picked up a publisher and is writing still! Never give up hope.

Hugh was offered a small press contract but decided to self-publish while still working his day job. He just wanted to share his stories and only wrote in his spare time. Then Wool Book took off and he decided to continue the series, only selling the print right in Jan 2013. Humble beginnings turned into something amazing.

A bookstore like no other! An abandoned 700-year-old Catholic church in the small Netherlands city of Maastricht has been turned into an impressive bookstore, Bookshop Dominicans, where you can wonder through its ornate archways and see what it ha to offer.
This one is definitely on the bucket list!

John Locke – this man was the first author to in history to sell over a million eBooks! What an accomplishment. John says he must have had a good laugh or two while writing his books before he will publish them, so if you want a book with some humor check his books outs.

This quaint bookstore in Paris is called Shakespeare and Company.
The bookshop was founded by American George Whitman at 37 rue de la Bûcherie, Kilometer Zero, the point at which all French roads begin. Constructed in the early 17th century, the building was originally a monastery, La Maison du Mustier.

This building was build in 1903 by a wealthy Greek family, confiscated by the Communist regime in the 1950s, then left to rot. After 24 years of red tape, the grandson of the original banker took back possession of the decaying building and turned it into the beautiful Cărturești Carusel (“Carousel of Light”) bookstore! With so much history it is well worth a visit if you find yourself in Romania!
