BELT LINE ROAD UPDATE: The City reached out to Illinois Department of Transportation about the closure of the southernmost lane of Belt Line Road, just east of Johnson Hill Road. IDOT is still working with an engineering firm and a contractor to develop a solution to stabilize the embankment that supports the road. IDOT does not have an expected date for the work to be completed and the road opened back up. As always, please use caution when driving through work zones.
