Working or planning an event does not make it okay to move another vendor’s equipment without permission.
There have been many times I’ve seen other vendors equipment on a table, or in my way, and I leave it right there until they return. I don’t touch other people’s stuff. If it’s pressing, we all get a list of everyone’s contact information.
Break my DJ booth, go ahead and run me $1,500 to replace it.
Damage my speakers, that’ll be $1,900 per side.
You break my microphone, that’ll be $900.
Let’s not even get into replacing my turntables or laptop.
The point is, if something needs to be repositioned, or moved to another location, wait and talk to the owner. You also have cell phone numbers for a reason.
No one should return from the restroom and find an event planner or vendor touching their equipment.
Show some respect, unless you want to be held responsible for the damages.
Oh, and if you hurt yourself, you earned it.
