Colfax brought in the holiday season in song with a tree lighting by the Codger Pole by Mayor Jim Retzer tonight, Saturday, Dec. 7.
From 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. the Colfax First Baptist, 200 North Mill Street, will host bonfires, s'mores and cocoa. With the parade and fireworks at 6:30 p.m.

Tekoa won second place for their royalty float at the Lilac Parade in Spokane tonight, Saturday, May 18.
The Garfield-Palouse marching band performed in the annual May Day parade, today, May 18, to a packed street of community enjoying vendors, food, and company. Festivities are still happening downtown Garfield all day, with a beer garden and live music.
