A Decade of Transformation. In its 10th year, Tradepoint Atlantic embarks on an ambitious terminal project. When the steel mill ceased operations in Sparrows Point in 2012, it marked the end of an era. But just two years later, a new giant began to emerge on the 3,300-acre industrial site: Tradepoint Atlantic.

Tradepoint, which will mark its 10th anniversary in September, has since grown into a massive multimodal shipping hub that includes an active deep-water port, onsite rail access for CSX and Norfolk Southern and 14 million square feet of distribution, warehousing and industrial facilities.
