Hi, guys. Just wanted to let you know that in about 10 days, my website will officially "die" and I will be removing this page.

It has been my honor and delight to share the world of organizing with you for the past several years. I may still offer ideas, inspiration, and tips but I'll do it through my Sheri S. Bertolini page.

Thank you for your support and friendship through these past 15 years of helping us all find the parts of our lives that really matter in the middle of "stuff." I may not be digging through homes any more but I hope all of us will forever wade through clutter and chaos to come find each other!

This is a great article for those who are discouraged with desiring to be different by minimizing and simplifying your life ... but fear the "what ifs."

Could I simplify my possessions? I wasn’t sure. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized there were three main lies keeping me from simplifying my life to follow my dreams.

Amen. Take care of YOU! Every time you buy another "thing" you're committing to take care of it. Do you honestly have the time, money, and energy to do that? Be honest.

Stuff is here to serve us. Not the other way around.

Every time you're tempted to buy ask: 1) what gives you the right to live in my house? and 2) how are you going to serve me/my family/purpose in life?

If the "thing" doesn't have a good answer, it doesn't come home with you!

Great idea!

Hi, guys. I've come to a decision to bring an official end to my 15-year career as a professional organizer. I will still be present for silly stories, tips, and questions through this page but I'm taking down my website and will no longer work on weekends in an "official" working capacity. This period of COVID-19-work-from-home for several months has opened my eyes to the beauty of being home and having weekends to recover from a work week - having the energy to connect with family and friends ... and to REST. It never dawned on me that I've been doing organizing on weekends for the past 9 years ... and I have LOVED getting my weekends back to truly be a period of not working. Balance is an amazing gift. And I have loved working with all of you, doing workshops, and still love teaching and helping ... which I'm happy to do. THANK YOU for all your support over the years. Organizing was my best job, my favorite work, and you were part of that.

Here's my idea: Good Friday thru Easter - white lights outside. It's a way we can GLOBALLY celebrate Easter together ... since many countries and regions won't be able to attend churches for Easter.

So many great questions and comments about our first Unlocking Us podcast episode on FFTs (effing first times) and how hard it is to be new at everything - from small things to pandemics.

I especially appreciate all of the comments from teachers getting ready to take their classes online for the first time and parents navigating all of the uncertainty.

I’m sharing my thoughts in an article on the website: Collective Vulnerability, the FFTs of Online Learning, and the Sacredness of Bored Kids.
