Crews will be placing barriers to reduce the bridge to a single lane. Be sure to slow down, stay alert for work crews, and find an alternate route!

The Clinton Lions Club was pleased to recognize one of our scholarship winners to Mississippi College for the 2024 Fall Semester. Miss Alyssa Wooton is a freshman majoring in Interior Design at MC. She is pictured, L-R, with her grandparents, longtime Clinton residents Edwin Price, retired Clinton Firefighter and his wife Pam Price, retired Clinton Elementary School teacher. Our Department Head report was given by Marsha Barham, manager of the Visitor Center. Director Barham reported that the number of visitors to the Center is down some. Friday Nights at Mile Post 89 are still occurring. The Visitor Center will also host Book Talk, featuring a new book by former Mayor Walter Howell. Mayor Phil Fisher also reported that the DAR had celebrated Constitution Week at the Depot, recognizing the 237th anniversary of the signing of the Constitution. In early action, the Board of Aldermen approved the proclamation proclaiming September 17 through September 23 as Constitution Week in the city.

The Challenger Inclusive Kickball teams competed on the Clinton High School Softball field on Monday, September 23. The Lady Arrows had so much fun assisting with the game! The stands were filled with fans and it was a super fun event!! If you haven’t had a chance to watch a challenger game tonight is your chance!! They will play their last Inclusive Kickball game of the season tonight at Traceway Park at 6:00 p.m. The game is open to the public and they love a cheering crowd!!!
