Looking for something to do this weekend? There's plenty of local action happening this Saturday. Clinton High School hosts their annual Bob Lueders Wrestling Invitational beginning at 9 a.m. with 18 different schools, including Camanche, Fulton and Central DeWitt in action.
And right across the Mississippi the Fulton Steamers are hosting their Eric Ottens shootout which features some of the top boys basketball teams in Illinois squaring off against each other. The day will be capped off with Fulton playing Easton Valley.

Prince of Peace's Hakeal Powell smashes the school record while scoring 60 points for the Irish in Thursday night's 86-82 loss to Wilton. The senior guard was incredibly impressive but the Irish lose a tight one on the road and are now 8-7 on the year.

Northeast beats Camanche 87-36 as Gavin Kramer goes off for 47 points. If you’re wondering who holds the single points in a game school record. You’re looking at him. He broke Pat Krogman’s points in a game record who scored 45 in 1994. He also became the 6th member of the Northeast 1000 points club in the win. Rebels improve to 11-2.
