"In a world of extreme compartmentalization in science and over-indulgence in daily occupations and worldly affairs, The Fountain’s discourse refers to an overarching coverage of the human life with content as diverse and rich as the human life itself, yet with a common thread and pattern that is neatly knitted all the way through our composition. Ours is a composition, one in which each and every

member of the human family can hear his or her conscience’s calling, a reflection of what is not always visible to the eye, or a response to the yearning deep in the heart and mind; a response that sometimes finds its definition best expressed in a poem, and at other times in a journey into outer space or through the veins of the human body. It is reading the universe, the major book of creation, and making sense out of it by way of the manual of Divine guidance. It is an effort to try and see the reality through the veils of apparent causes and to obtain our share from each phenomenon, each of which is a letter enclosed with a message addressing us."

Artificial Intelligence: Friend or Foe? It is Up to Us
Technology
While many recent technologies claim to be unbiased, Dr. Noble argues they often "repeat the problems they're supposed to solve."

AI itself is not inherently dangerous. It is a powerful tool, like any technology, whose impact depends on the hands that manipulate it. AI can be considered as a super-intelligent student, constantly learning, and evolving. While the potential of AI and computer technology to revolutionize our world is undeniable, it is crucial to acknowledge the potential pitfalls that accompany this progress.
Despite their neutral appearance, discriminatory algorithms exacerbate existing inequalities across various sectors like insurance, advertising, education, and law enforcement, and often result in outcomes that disadvantage the economically challenged and racially marginalized, effectively reinforcing systemic biases.
From housing discrimination to unfair hiring practices, the documentary “Coded Bias” exposes how algorithms can perpetuate inequalities in crucial areas like healthcare, credit scoring, education, and the legal system. The lack of legal frameworks for AI as the documentary argues, allows such human rights violations to occur unchecked.

Religion
Defiance to a command is the sign of rebellion, and its acceptance a mark of submission.

Among the plethora of events and miracles in the life of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, there is one that was particularly unique. Around a year before the Muslim community’s migration to Medina, the Prophet was taken by a heavenly steed from Mecca to Jerusalem, and from there lifted to the seven heavens. At the end of this journey, he was brought to the direct presence of God, closer than anyone before or after him.

Sacrifice: A Means of Becoming Closer to God
Lead Article
At the beginning of the second chapter of the Qur’an, God Almighty declares that He is the actual owner of things and we are temporary keepers: “Out of what We have provided for them they spend...” Namely, what we donate is actually nothing but blessings He has granted us. By pointing out that “He” is the actual Provider of sustenance, He reminds us that there is no need for us to worry about depletion. This point is more directly expressed in another verse, that God Almighty, the Omnipotent One, is the Provider of sustenance of all creatures (al-Dhariyat 51:58).

The Tongue – Not a Thing to Underestimate!
Biology
The tongue is the most vital organ for animals which feed on nectar, such as hummingbirds. Their tongues are created to suck high-energy nectar from the depths of the flowers, like a straw.
The remarkable diversity in animal tongue morphology underscores the intricate design and adaptation evident in all of creation, suggesting a divine understanding of each creature's unique characteristics and the provision of suitable organs to match their needs. Nearly eight thousand species of salamanders and frogs, chameleons and many lizards quickly pull their prey into their mouths by throwing their tongues like ballistic missiles to hunt. Chameleons, for example, catch crickets in less than a tenth of a second by propelling their tongues at a speed close to five meters per second.
The tongue is the most vital organ for animals which feed on nectar, such as hummingbirds. Their tongues are created to suck high-energy nectar from the depths of the flowers, like a straw.
When they focus too much on what they are doing with their hands, we can see that some people unconsciously open their mouths and move their tongues left and right with a certain rhythm. Some scientists do not see this as an oddity and say that these tongue-twisting movements can increase the accuracy of movements in delicate manual work.

The negative impacts of cancel culture extend to both cancelers and onlookers. Teens who cancel others may do so because they hold strong moral beliefs, which is a positive thing.

Intermittent Fasting, Ketogenic Diets and Neurological Disorders
Health

Fasting has been practiced for thousands of years throughout the history of mankind, driven by various motives such as spiritual cleansing, cultivating a stronger connection with God, reaping health benefits, and engaging in acts of charity.

The utilization of dietary therapies for health purposes also boasts a rich historical foundation. Notably, Hippocrates, a revered figure in medical history, is quoted as saying, “Let food be thy medicine, thy medicine shall be thy food.” In his work “Sacred Disease,” he delved into the concept that the body of an epileptic patient was considered “polluted,” and dietary modifications played a role in purification.

The practice of fasting for health reasons is prevalent across different religions. In the King James Version of the Bible, a significant event unfolds as an epileptic child is brought to Jesus, who declares, “This kind can come forth nothing except by prayer and fasting.” Muslims globally observe a month-long (month of Ramadan) fast annually as prescribed in the Qur’an. God's mandate is clear, stating, "Fasting has been prescribed for you as it was for previous nations, fostering God-consciousness" (2:183). Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, reinforces the benefits of fasting with the affirmation, "Fast, and you will attain health" (Ibn Majah, Tabarani).

The Enchanting World of the Houses of Worship
Lead Article

Houses of worship play a pivotal role in showcasing a significant aspect of Islamic culture. When viewed as comprehensive complexes with their facilities, masjids or mosques embody a distinctive heritage of Muslim civilization. These sacred spaces are intricately linked to the essence and significance of our spirituality. The comforting life within their embrace seamlessly integrates into the surrounding community, establishing a horizon that shapes the identity of residents in a city or village. These places become akin to a nurturing mother, radiating the warmth of home. Throughout the day, believers eagerly converge on the mosque, experiencing the anticipation and enthusiasm of reuniting with the Beloved.

“Home” holds a special place in our lives. A large, luxurious mansion or a small, decrepit place, our homes are hard to replace with anything. Our earliest memories form inside its walls; we utter our first words and take our first steps there. Does everyone feel the same about home? Is it where you were born or where you earn your bread? Is home a physical place? In a world that moves faster than ever and is confined to small screens, how do perceptions about "home" change? Where is home for people who are forced to leave their homes? Where is your home?
