Big price reduction.

Reducing our 2024 tradeshow booth by 50% from $20,000 to $10,000. This scene is a highly detailed bank vault with a faux bank teller front. There are over 1700 safe deposit boxes and a 200 lb bank vault door. The door and safe deposit boxes are all rusted using our Rust FX. The ceiling is patinas using our copper Fx. Exterior doors are stenciled and stained using our Stained FX. This booth was built as a two tier booth but can be simply added to the bottom and expand based on your needs. Bottom is 20x11. Top is 12x 8. Room can easily be expanded to 24x11 or 20x15. There are literally hundreds of hours of rusting in this set. Make this beautiful scene part of your haunt. 916 Productions Fear Finish is a one of a kind company. We deliver high quality faux finish products at an affordable price. Our Fear Finish products are guaranteed fresh not because we say it’s fresh but because the product says it is. You can use these products 7 years after purchasing and they will be as good as the day you purchased them although let’s be honest you will likely use them way before then. We never mix our additives. You mix them at the rate and amount you choose. We do this because if we mixed our products you would simply have to take our word on how fresh it is. We don’t want you to mix your rust and paint till you need it because it is a guaranteed scientific fact that metal and water (paint contains water) will oxidize inside the paint and will turn into a paperweight. Hell in the unlikely event that you have unused rust left over in 40 years your great grand kids can use the Metal head and mix into paint and you’ll have a fresh Rust FX kit. As always we love our customers and will always produce products that will withstand time.

As many of you know our Moss FX product is the most realistic, highest quality, most durable and highest versatile faux Moss product ever to be produced. All of our products are priced to where even home haunts are able to afford them. We understand times are tough though. However this does not mean that our creativity and ambition to make things goes away and because we refuse to leave out the home haunters we want to give back. We are considering doing a very low budget DIY Moss option. We will always suggest Moss FX for the reasons mentioned above. This would be for those who aren’t concerned about the quality of the moss. This is for those on a near zero budget using items you can find in the model section of Hobby Lobby. If you would like to see us do a DIY video for this let us know in the comments.

Well two tradeshows down and one more to go. On top of continuous orders coming in we are already back to the idea board again. We already have two brand new, never before seen products that will be released next year. We have a smaller scale item that will be tested and potentially added to our stain line in the next couple months. Will be testing out our brand new Rust Patina line to be used in a way that will appeal to a total different market. Also will be working on a high quality hardcoat. This could go two ways. If what we come up with proves to be a complicated recipe as all our products are we will add it to our Fear Finish product line. If it proves to be a simple mixture we will simply shoot a DIY showing how you can do it yourself at home because we take pride in the quality of our product. We would never take a single item, repackage and relabel it as our own and charge twice as much to you the customer. Will update soon.

Our last 4 years serving our customers have been amazing and we have built some incredible sets during these tradeshows. I want to say that we couldn’t have built these crazy booths without the help of our core. They are not blood but they bleed 916 and we would bleed for them and they for us. We always tell our core there is nothing we will ask of them that we aren’t willing to do twice as hard. When tear down begins work is not done till the last board is placed in the trailer. They will never catch us not working. We will never sit back or sit down while they do everything. We show them respect by grinding till the end. We fight for our core and our core fights for us. Our core is 916. We will not fail.

Had an amazing time at FearExpo! Doug Shelden and his crew’s hospitality was amazing! From the time we backed into the showroom floor his staff helped unload, transport, offered help and waters, offered to help tear down and load up and were absolutely friendly the entire time! Huge thanks to the entire staff! Doug provided food and drinks and aftershow entertainment that was also amazing! Thanks for all the extra efforts Doug and his folks provided! Got to hang out with old friends and met lots of new ones! Thanks from the 916 Productions Crew!!!

So we were asked by several customers about our rust FX so I decided to post the response on here. Why 916 Fear Finish? How are you different? Why don’t you mix in paint with your metal.

1). 916 Productions is a set design and faux finish manufacturer. We manufacture our amazing product line in my warehouse as ship directly to the customer. No middle men. We created 916 Productions because quality frankly the options available were of unacceptable quality and price. We developed our products using the home haunter and professional haunter in mind. It had to be the top quality that professional haunters needed but at a price point where even haunt enthusiast could afford. We are are the only product developed by haunters for haunters. All of our products are created and tested by actual artist not someone who dabs in it. Our products are meant to last. Our stains won’t lose color as some of others will. The rust produce amazing color variations that others can only achieve by adding stains to it. The moss will harden to concrete and take the abuse that haunts take. The copper is the only copper option available that is an actual copper patina. The quality is unmatched.

So back to the rust. We are different because our rust is different. We use only lab grade chemicals and pure iron to mix in your paint. This creates oranges, yellows, reds and purples instead of the boring brown produced by other products. Again no need to use yellow stain on this.

Why don’t we mix in our paint and metal. So first of all think about what it takes to oxidize metal. Moisture (water and air. When you mix metal into water (paint) it starts to oxidize immediately. It’s starts to corrode inside your paint can. This means you would have a limited shelf life, say 3-4 months before your paint would be reduced to a giant rock inside your paint can. By not mixing the metal you are not limited to a shelf life. The metal iron we give you will not deteriorate unless of course you mix it into paint and leave it. You mix only what amount you need for the products and place the rest on the shelf for a project down the road. Also if we mixed in the metal and paint who’s to say it’s not already 6-8 months old. We take the guessing game out.

Quantity
So if we mixed our metal into paint I would have to make room for the metal right? I would have to charge you for a gallon of paint and dump out half right? I would then backfill will metal and sell that to you. The next guy would get your half gallon of paint that you paid for and I’d charge him for a gallon of paint as well. What kind of businessman would I be? So I decided to tell you what paint to buy ($16 a gallon paint) and mix in the metal at your pace 2 part paint to 1 part metal. Total yield would be about 1 1/2 gallons instead of 1 gallon. This means 50% more coverage. Again your pocket books love this.

Color variation
Since we don’t mix in the paint you can get creative and use different color of paint to mix into the metal. This creates a variety of rust variations only achievable when using different colors.

Shipping
You are only paying for 16 lbs of shipping instead of 25-30 because paint is heavy. This means cost saving to you. Plus we never do flat rate shipping. You only pay the cost to ship and hell we even give you our discounted rate since we love y’all.

Price
Our kits at $140. Factor in the $16 paint that’s $156 total for 1 1/2 gallons of rust be $180-$185 per single gallon of product.

The next question is why in the hell would you shop anywhere else? Do you like paying more money for lower quality product? Do you like calling and calling someone and never getting a response. Every year we come with a new booth theme that is cool and exciting. In 4 years we have researched and developed 6 amazing product lines that are in a different category of quality than anyone else. Next year we are set to release three new brand new Fear Finish products. We are relentless. Well, another Transworld Halloween Attraction show is in the books. We want to thank every customer that came by and visited us!
