It’s coming! We are being advised that snow and cold conditions are heading our way.
We want to remind all drivers of the following driving and car preparedness tips.

• Please slow down. It’s harder to control or stop your vehicle on a slick or snow-covered surface.
• Don’t crowd a snow plow or travel beside the truck. Snow plows travel slowly, make wide turns, stop often, overlap lanes, and exit the road frequently. If you find yourself behind a snow plow, stay far enough behind it and use caution if you need to pass the plow.
• Check your tires.
• Check your fluids.
• Check your brakes
• Do not use high beams.
• Drive under speed limit to control vehicle and assured clear distance between vehicles.
• Check windshield wipers (replace in spring and winter).
• Maintain a nearly full tank of gas for optimum operation.
• Create an emergency kit: foldable shovel, sand, blanket, clear trunk to get to spare tire, water and flashlight.
• Clean windshield in and out-dirty windshields can magnify glare.
• Make sure headlights and mirrors are clean.
