This year, the night before our anniversary while Tim was gone for a couple hours, I thought, “What the heck. I’m gonna try to throw together a “quick” video of our 5 years together to surprise Tim tomorrow.”
While it may not be perfect due to the fact that “throwing together” a recap of the past 5 years of our lives in just a couple hours is actually not as easy as it sounds, I am so excited to share it.
It’s not a clean, polished edit by any means, but it’s finally a version of our “wedding video” we never got around to editing.
I am so grateful to our God who is the author of this story we get to share. And it was so amazing for me to see while editing how some of the vows Tim promised are being lived out today ❤️ (specifically at 7:18 in the video)
What an adventure it has been so far. What a great honor it is to be your wife, Tim Schwan.
I have never cried more at a wedding. (I’m serious. Not even at my own.)
I have never been hit so hard with a tsunami of memories that date all the way back to the very first thing I can remember about my life.
Hannah was one of my very first friends—a sister who has been a part of 23/24 years of my life on this earth.
To be able to tell her and Aaron, her absolutely incredibly amazing now husband’s story is such a gift. I thank God so much He has given us this career to be able to tell not just important stories of couples, but of the people we love, cherish, and have known for our whole lives. It is a privilege and honor. 🤍

We Got to Film My Close Childhood Friend’s Wedding 🥺🤍• Auburn TWP, OH
I absolutely could not choose one highlight, so here are a few from this day:
- One of my long time closest friends found the guy who brings out the best in her and draws her closer to the Lord. 🧡 Thank you Hunter!
- Nadia didn't freeze to death while sitting at the altar, barefoot, with the coldest winds ever never relenting during the ceremony. 🦶
- The good hard laugh Elana (sister/maid of honor) gave me with her speech opener. 🙌🏼
- Witnessing Mr. McGinnis (FOB) cry for the first time. (I'm convinced his speech broke everyone.) 💯

It’s kind of surreal when you get to film one of your best-friends-since-7th-grade’s wedding.
Nadia and I used to make videos ALL the time with my little SANYO camcorder.
Nadia, who had a PowerPoint for her wedding day by age 12, planned and directed most of these home videos. I, Andrea, edited them together in the most cheesy way you can think of with my advanced video editing software, Windows Movie Maker.
But, I think if you told little us that in several years Andrea & her hubs would be filming weddings and Nadia would be planning them (shout-out to @nadianoelleevents 🎉), we wouldn’t be in the least bit surprised.

Remember from the teaser, I mentioned that there was something special about the journal Breah gifted Domenic…you’ll find out what within the first 25 seconds. 🥺
You might notice Breah & Domenic’s film is longer than our standard lengthened 8-10 min film. That’s just because there was no way we could cut it down.
The words from everyone in this video were so rich and filled with meaning that helped tell the story of who Breah & Domenic are and what is important to them.
For the most part, we stick to our 8-10 min highlight time. But if the best way to tell your story is to add an extra minute or two because it just wouldn’t do your story justice to go without it, that’s so so worth it to us.

Everyone’s worst fear/enemy when they plan for an outdoor wedding: RAIN (or snow let’s be honest).
2 main things I had never witnessed until this wedding:
🌧An outdoor wedding where it rained for almost the entire day
💙 A bride & groom with the ABSOLUTE BEST attitudes despite the weather--who even EMBRACED the rain.
This wedding will always stand out to me for many reasons, but the main one will always be the personalities of Jena and Renato, who inspire me to embrace the rain when it comes and dance hard in it 💃🏼🕺

I almost always cry during every father daughter dance (Tim will affirm this).
However, I was NOT prepared to have a bonus misty eye session when Nicole’s dad gave his speech! I am such a sucker for these moments 🤍🤍 Getting to deliver a memory like this to couples fills me up so much!!

Sam & Hayley were SO ready for this day. Hayley was pretty much ready at age 12 when she first saw Sam 💁🏻♀️
Let me tell you—last weekend was so exciting. It was like watching our friends get married 🤍 that’s how Sam & Hayley make you feel—like you’ve known them forever. Literally, when Hayley ran to open the door for us as soon as we got there it made my day 😭🙌🏼 Here’s to you guys! 🥂 So pumped to get this full film to you!!! 🤩

Vendors always get the question, “Well who did YOUR wedding??” Our friend Carolyn gets to say, “Me. I did my wedding.” From putting together the bouquets, centerpieces, decorating a canoe, and the dock they got married on—Carolyn, her biz partner Rachel, + the bridal party made it happen. I could not stop saying “WOW.”
To watch a florist design and create is SO AMAZING. You can try to put together a bouquet with some flowers by the edge of your woods or the driveway and feel proud (which you should), but what they can do and see with their creative eyes and floral knowledge is incomparable. Especially Youth & Yarrow. Chicago brides, if you’re looking for a florist in the area—you’ve found THE one right here.
