So for tomorrow's induction at the Ohio Civil Rights Hall of Fame, each inductees have between 3-5 mins to give a speech (a lot of time for a lot of people), I usually just wing it and try my best to give a sincere thank... however, this time, I thought maybe I'll let AI to help me, so I asked Microsoft Copilot to give it a shot... I told it to make it conversational wise, and easy... Give it a few pointers what I want to emphasize, and boom here it is lol

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I'm deeply honored to stand here today as an inductee into the Ohio Civil Rights Hall of Fame. This recognition isn't just about me; it’s about the resilience and strength of the Asian American community that I represent, including those born here in the United States.

Our journey in this country has been challenging, but also full of accomplishments. From early immigrants facing harsh conditions to our presence today in all walks of life—science, arts, business, and public service—we’ve made significant contributions. Despite these achievements, we still face discrimination and inequality. Hate crimes and biases remind us that our fight for justice continues. This fight is not just for us but for all marginalized communities seeking a fair and just society.

Change starts small. It starts with each of us helping another person. Simple acts of kindness and support can transform lives and build stronger communities. When we mentor young people, volunteer, or simply listen to others, we create ripples of change that spread far and wide.

Let’s take pride in our identities and celebrate our cultural heritage. By standing together, we can create a future where everyone, including those born right here, is treated with respect and equality.

Thank you for this incredible honor. Let’s continue to work towards a world where justice, equality, and harmony are the norm for all.

On October 31st, I will be inducted into the Ohio Civil Rights Hall of Fame... The event starts in the morning till early afternoon. The Event is free, if you are interested in attending, please RSVP, this is in Columbus at the Ohio Statehouse.

The Civil Rights Hall of Fame acknowledges outstanding Ohioans who are recognized as pioneers in human and civil rights.

Who's interested in the Video Editing Class? It will be an hour each week, anticipating more more than 8 weeks to get you really good and going.

What you will learn:
- Basic understanding of NLE software (Adobe or Davinci Resolve)
- File structure and syching
- Editing Basic
- Editing Intermediate with some VFX understanding
- Sound Mixing
- Delivery methods

You will be able to comfortably edit short/feature and be confident on how to do it the proper way

The Civil Rights Hall of Fame seeks to acknowledge iconic Ohioans who are recognized as pioneers in human and civil rights, and who have advanced the goals of equality and inclusion. Inductees of the Ohio Civil Rights Hall of Fame are individuals who have made significant contributions in support of civil rights, cultural awareness and understanding in furtherance of a more just society. Your efforts were extraordinary contributions in the advancement of civil rights in the great State of Ohio. Your passion was commendable and will now be recognized. You will stand in history with a class of Ohio honorees such as Jesse Owens; Gloria Steinem; Bishop Timothy Clark; The Ohio Freedom Riders; Ohio Tuskegee Airmen; Rev. Dr. Otis Moss, Jr.; Jo Ann Davidson; and Otto Beatty, Jr., just to name a few.

This celebration will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024. Prior to the ceremony, we will invite you and a guest to join us at 8:30 a.m. in the State Room of the Ohio Statehouse for an exclusive reception in honor of the 2024 inductees. This reception will allow all the opportunity to meet the event sponsors, which are Honda, Wright State University, PNC Bank, and the Ohio Civil Rights Commission, along with other esteemed guests.

The official induction ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Ohio Statehouse Atrium, Columbus, Ohio. This ceremony will serve to recognize the significant contributions that you and the other inductees have made toward the progress of civil rights in the State of Ohio. The ceremony is free to attend, and refreshments will be served immediately following the ceremony. We encourage you to invite your family, friends, and colleagues to share in this joyous occasion as we celebrate your many distinguished accomplishments. Congratulations to all cast and crew of Bullets, Brothers and Blood Feature Film at the 29th annual Indie Gathering International Film Festival we took home Best Action Drama Feature.

The film will be showing on Friday, August 9th at 7pm on Screening Room A, please join us for a fun night and meet some of the cast/crew that will be in attendance.
