Happy Birthday to our beloved Headspace party! 🥳 6 years ago today we started our little monthly in the cozy basement of the now defunct Euclid Tavern. Our drive was to provide friends with good taste an opportunity to play out more, a space to share the music they love so dearly, on a proper sound system. Our goal was to give people an experience they would otherwise have to travel for, and we feel we’ve done a pretty good job so far! Never in a million years would we have thought to successfully of thrown some of the parties we have, and that’s nice to look back on.
Even though our next party isn’t until Nov 18th, tonight we will be celebrating our idea with an unusual artist at a venue we very much enjoy. Partiboi69 is going to be a riot and we look forward to getting loose with you all 🖤

As head of buying and distribution at Halcyon Records from 2008 until mid-2014, Taimur’s work helped lead the resurgence of the local Brooklyn scene. With 16 plus years of history and accolades for helping to revive one of the world’s most important dance music scenes, Taimur and Blk|Market Membership hold an esteemed position as architects of New York’s contemporary scene.
On the strength of these accomplishments, Taimur has devoted himself full-time to his DJ & production career and currently resides in Miami. He launched his record label Blkmarket Music which features releases by Reade Truth, a 2 part Craig Richards's lost tracks with remixes, a collab between Taimur with Miami electro legend Gosub, 2 T.A.O (Taimur.Amo.Ostara) Ep's 'Enter your Mind' and 'Return to Life' and more. The latest releases that dropped are by Toronto's Hypnotic Mindscapes trio Payphone and JLM Werx.
Forthcoming confirmed label releases include an EP by Taimur & Jean Pierre, DOTT, Reade Truth mini album, DJ Spun, Existencia Pasajera, Komponente x Kurilo, DJ Sweater, Buraye's 3 x 12" Holographic Visitors release, Jay Tripwire, Manuk, and Mr and Mrs Ambiance just to name a few.
