Velma’s Gardens Quilt Retreat Opened in September 2019. Owned and operated by Larry & Lana Masengill.
The house was previously built and lived in by Larry’s parents for 25 years. They moved back to the family farm of 43 acres, that has been in Larry’s family almost 100 years. Lana & Larry live in the original Farmhouse and Larry’s grandmother and aunts home has been converted into a quilt shop, “Lana’s Quilts & Sew Much More”.
Larry’s mother, Velma, had a love for flowers and plants. She designed and planted all the beautiful gardens on the grounds of the Retreat that you see today.
Even though we have lost both Velma and Louie, we have dedicated this Retreat to their memory. Each room in the house has a touch of history in it. Antique quilts, handmade by Larry’s grandmother, cover the 6 beds in the three bedrooms.
