The Heights Music Hop is a program of FutureHeights, the nonprofit community development corporation that publishes the Heights Observer newspaper. FutureHeights has been a leader in civic engagement and community building in the Heights for more than 15 years. The event’s goal is to grow this annual event to publicize the Heights' rich cultural scene and further promote the Heights as an entertainment destination and a home for the arts.

The 2025 Heights Music Hop, spanning three days, sprawling over four neighborhoods in Cleveland Heights, is searching for performers. Local acts will be prioritized, but all Northeast Ohio performers are welcome to apply.

This annual event is a one-of-a-kind music festival combining great music with great businesses. Presented by FutureHeights Community Development Corporation, our mission is to support local shopping, dining, and music while promoting the Heights as a great place to live, work, own a business or visit. ✨OH WHAT A YEAR IT'S BEEN!✨

In 2024 at FutureHeights we...
* graduated 18 Heights residents from our Neighborhood Leadership Program
* explored four community-selected topics that engaged +2000 Heights residents through our Crowdsourced Conversations forum series
* expanded Heights Music Hop beyond Cedar Lee and Noble to include Cedar Fairmount and Quintana's in Cedar Taylor (Coventry's date ended up getting rained out)
* honored 76 small businesses or organizations through a community-wide vote to determine the Best of the Heights
* awarded 7 resident-led projects $5,850 in our Fall Round of Neighborhood Mini-Grants
* distributed the Heights Observer print edition to over 200 local businesses and organizations every month and sent the Weekly Observer Enews to +5700 inboxes every Tuesday
* recognized John Emerman and Tatyana Rehn of Stone Oven Bakery as our persons of the year at our Annual Benefit...and more!
