Justice Failed Jessica Linton

Justice Failed Jessica Linton The “justice” system failed once again. If it happened to her, it can happen to anyone. She considered Jeremy a trusted friend. Sounds kind of like intimidation.

Updated January 7, 2024:
Jessica Linton worked for CCS Medical for nearly 14 yrs where she was a diabetic pump technician. She has Type I diabetes & enjoyed her job with CCS because she got to help other diabetics and share her story of living with diabetes. She, along with her husband and youngest daughter, lived a modest life in Clearwater, FL. They were active members at their church and Jessic

a was very active with her daughter's Girl Scout Troop. In 2014, while CCS was having layoffs, she was approached by a former co-worker, Jeremy Adams, about a job w/ his startup compounding pharmacy. With the uncertainty of her job at CCS, she accepted the job w/ the pharmacy even though she had no experience in that field. In summer of 2016, the FBI raided the Clearwater Pharmacy & Call Center. She was the manager of the call center. Jessica fully cooperated with the investigators. Approximately 2 years later, at the advice of her court appointed attorney (William (Bill) Myers), she traveled to AL at her own expense on 2 separate occasions to give proffer statements to the federal prosecutors. Before she entered the room for the 1st proffer, she was told by the head prosecutor that "they don't want to hear that she didn't know what was going on". At the end of the 2nd proffer, she was presented a plea deal to sign. The plea deal stated that she "willingly & knowingly" committed healthcare fraud. She refused to sign a false statement and chose to keep her right to remain innocent until proven guilty. The court appointed attorney did not want to deal with a lengthy litigation & trial, so he advised her to seek other council which she did. She went to trial in March 2021. A 12-person jury, that had no healthcare experience & had multiple jurors sleeping during testimony, found Jessica guilty. She was given a much harsher sentence because she went to trial. This is known as trial penalty & is a violation of the 6th Amendment. She was sentenced to 11 years in a women's federal prison camp which is a ludicrous sentence for a non-violent first-time offender. This leaves her husband of nearly 14 years, to be a single father to their young daughter. Jessica made a total of $301,000 as the call center manager in her 2 years there. The CEO made approximately $10 million & was given 14 years. Jamie Mayes, the head pharmacist, made approximately $7 million and given 7 yrs. The federal prosecutors said they didn't consider Jessica "fully" cooperative because she didn't sign the plea deal. Like so many incarcerated, her incarceration is pointless because she is no threat to society and it's a drain on the taxpayer. She could just as well serve her time on home confinement where she could still be a mother to her young daughter. Jessica's release date is set for November 18, 2029. Her youngest daughter will be 17 at that time.
